Been really wanting to try this title in the past few months since it's release so I broke down and got it for $40.
Right now I'm kinda early but I'm a bit mixed.
First off, Triss, dat ass, etc. I'm guessing the total nudity right in the beginning of the game helps compel gamers to keep playing in hopes of seeing more of Triss's nether regions.
Second off, combat, I'm a bit iffy on it. Maybe it's because I just started but it seems very well suited for 1v1 fighting but in groups it's just a pain. In the end it's basically impossible to not tank sword hits since you can't parry from any direction. Plus I can't even do that counterattack thing in the tutorial. IDK why, I guess it's something you eventually learn.
Narrative wise, I'm a bit confused. I didn't play the first Witcher much except for like an hour so it's still developing for me. But I do kinda like the structure and environment, I just feel like there's a lot of stuff I should know about but don't, especially with the environment and setting.
I'm still early on though but I'll keep playing.
Also it's a very well packaged game. Came with a quest book, map, and soundtrack. I almost felt bad separating it all. I'll post some pics later.
