Oh boy...The yearly November game wave. So many great games I want to get, but not enough money.
So anyways, I've been trying to find a way to get money so I can get both Modern Warfare 3 and Super Mario 3D Land at launch, but until last night, I wasn't going to be able to. So I'm downstairs watching TV, when my mom asks if I still use my Wii. I told her no, cause I don't (I was messing with it a few days ago, hooked up a spare HDD I had to it, and downloaded some games), and she asked if she could buy it from me, for her and my little sister to play.
I don't know why she did, but hey, it's money. She said she'd give around the price of a new Wii (Mine hasn't been used much), so I'm expecting about $100 ($40 off the actual new price), which is awesome. So I plan on paying off the rest of my pre-order on Modern Warfare 3, and possibly pre-ordering Super Mario 3D Land. Not 100% sure though.
I'm kind of interested in Battlefield 3, but IDK. I have Gears 3 to play, and then Modern Warfare 3 will be coming out in no time, so I just don't know if I want to get another shooter. There's also Sonic Generations, which I want to get (360 version), but I've been hearing that it's very short, and doesn't contain much content (Something like 9 levels, and a Modern/Classic stage for each). Of course, there's missions, and different characters, but I'd much rather play on individual stages that are different, rather than 9 stages with two different styles, and a bunch of cheesy missions that are most likely either fetch quests, or hunter type missions, where you have to kill so many enemies and whatnot.
Outside of gaming stuff (Sort of), I'm trading a friend some Pokemon cards for a WiiMotion+ (Just for Skyward Sword mainly, and for my mom/sister if they want to play games that use it) and a GBC with some games (Pokemon Blue and Silver to name a few). I don't collect them anymore, and they've just been sitting in a binder in my desk. The only ones I plan on keeping are my promo cards. I have a ton of them, such as Ancient Mew, Pikachu Snap, Cool Porygon, Flying Pikachu, and about 32 other promo cards. IDK why, but I've always liked the black star promo cards more than regular cards.
Life's just been kind of dull lately. I don't play games that much anymore, and it just feels like a chore when I do, so I'm hoping all these games next month will change that. I'm pretty excited for MW3, and from my past experience with Call of Duty games, I'll be playing it long into next year. I've just been working on my Zelda game a lot lately, and that's been keeping me busy. I might take a month or two long break, as I've just been working like crazy on it, and I could use a nice break I guess. I'm also waiting for NCFC 2011 to be over. I entered my Zelda game in it, and so far, it's in first place among as the most liked Zelda game. There's still reviews which are taken into consideration (Although my game hasn't received any yet), and of course, the final judging that the staff of the event does. I'm hoping to win, but then again, the main reason I entered my game was so it could gain more attention. I found out there's actually prizes for "Best Of" winners, so that's pretty cool.
