Over the years i've learnt to quicksave like a bastard. beat an enemy. quicksave. loot something. quicksave. new area. quicksave. Even more so recently when i started playing fallout3 with mods (FWE and a few others). I played FWE on harsh wasteland settings, quick saving was as natural as moving and reloading. so i ordered metro2033 the otherday, recieved it about 2 days ago now. its an okay console port. being a console port means no quicksave system. thinking it had a quicksave system, i started the game on hard.
first few chapters are fine with the exception of the bits where its better to go stealth and kill dudes with knives....
no quicksave is a freaking annoying pain, not to mention checkpoints are few and far between.
take out 3-4 guys with throwing knives, only to be undone by the 5th.
alright....
take them all out, make my way to the next chamber. get spotted.
fuck.
get to the next chamber, take the guys out, only to hit the alarm bell by accident.
scream this is why i need quicksaves.
fuck i'm casual.
