Hurried down to meet my friends for dinner right after work cause the whole gang were already there at this new eatery called Pepper Lunch. We had this planned a while back as we were attracted by the humongous servings for an equally humongous price.
A friend texted me on Telegram to say the queue is long so you can take your time, lol.
Cut the story short I ordered the Beef Pepper Rice with extra beef slices, cheese, and an egg along with Miso Soup, Mug Root Beer and strawberry ice-cream all for $19. I'm glad the wait wasn't long though.
Food came on a hotplate and stays hot throughout the meal! After pouring the soy sauce onto the rice it continues to sizzles and cook, I felt so much joy from watching something as simple as food sizzling away on a hotplate.
First bite of the peppered rice doused in soy sauce topped with corn kernel and egg yolk (so much on a spoon)... Oh my lord! I am probably exaggerating to a certain degree but it was sooo effin' delish (I was also very hungry) a second helping of the same thing on my spoon but this time I managed to juggle a slice of beef and thaaat's it! Glorious!
The portion was really generous as I felt my tummy filled up but there's still a bit more! Nevertheless I have managed to clear away everything.
Second visit on the 30th March, yeees, that's how good it is!
This was my friend's Sukiyaki set meal. This was so tempting as well. I can't wait for the end of the month someone need to invent a time machine, haha!
