nds game translation blues

Major effort on dungeon of windaria. I finally dumped and translated all the text. Its inserted. The image work was done last year. As with most things (normal job life stuff)I just didn't have the time to get to this stuff.
I have had time lately. I finally got it all out and just went through all of it(windaria stuff). whats left is changing the pointers, putting the edited arm9 back in and testing.
Its so bring though. As some pointers are done by sections with the pointers all over the place and not just one straight forward edit (reformat, reverse byte, copy paste stuff). Type search change over and over. Not complaining just one of those I am almost there moments. like in a race where you can see the finish line but haven't got there yet...
What was surprising is that the english text is actually smaller than what was there previously. In a lot of places. I am used to having to find space and make work arounds. So this was refreshing. More because of the sheer speed I found myself going through it. I will list an official page later. I just had to get out of the monotony of this. It also means I have been avoiding work on certain other things ...
To those who were expecting work from me I do have a different priority list than working on YOUR projects. A very very long list. Not saying you aren't important. I do have other things on the "TO DO" list. If finishing off a game bugs you I don't care. Seriously it will just make me move you down the list if you bug me.
I came across a method for dumping stuff from overlay files that was easier than doing a play through with many many memory dumps. (thankyou chinese hackers I appreciate your efforts).

Which means work can go a crap load quicker for some of my other projects. Those that have text in the overlay files. Which means Itadaki may go way quicker (text wise). It depends on whether I can change the size of the overlay as this will be needed (badly). I will be testing the overlay size change with dramatic dungeon sakura taisen later. It has the text at the end of the overlay files which comes in real real handy.
Other wise health wise I took a 3 to 4 month hiatus from fulltime work. With several jobs in between with me having to leave after a fairly large number of latex allergy incidents. to give you perspective before last year maybe 4 to 8 times a year but the last 6 months have gone to about 28. Those with severe allergy attacks know what this means and also know that I am now at the point where I take no chances with anything that remotely gives me a bad reaction. I am now allergic to very specific types of shrimp, and have had that the skin allergy test twice... in the last 6 months... mostly due to new reactions that were not there before. Hence I have time to work on translation stuff while desperately looking for work that won't give me trouble. I am now allergic to 108 things but mildy where as the earlier test had me at 52 and the test before that at 37. If you see a trend so does my allergist.

so...
lots and lots of hospital stays over 2000$ spent on epipens (I stopped keeping track) and I just learned that most of the allergy attacks that happened at work were actually covered by wsib (which is a thing here in canada think insurance). This would have made things so so much easier for me if I had known about it years ago but apparently there are lots of not nice employers out there who just don't give a sh-t. A lawyer friend of mine offered help in retroactive claims but --- whats the point. All this really says is that certain companies just don't care. getting paid for almost dying on the job many many times well... now that I do know ABOUT IT I am using it.
ONE very big lesson learned last month with that wsib form. Second time I had someone say "we may have to cut your clothes off" in my life time. Which after the first time - you never want to be there again. Yeah we were talking tracheotomy, very nervous hospital staff, and my deciding to take things WAY more carefully.
I sincerely hope there will not be a third cut the clothes off thing.

if you are wondering my wordpress blog is being very picky about letting me login and posting stuff. Which is why I am posting here. One more issue getting in on wordpress and I will just delete the f--king thing. Sigh. Not that I am losing patience with wordpress but a blog shouldn't be this much of a hassle. YES this is why I haven't been making that many wordpress posts. TOO MUCH TROUBLE.

I was at curry's on queen west earlier today. I miss Wolfitz that used to be there. I used to get laboratory supplies there and don't like the online trouble I have been getting. Wolfitz used the space more effectively where as curry's art supplies well redundant inventory... and no laboratory supplies ...sigh.
I was looking for stuff for making vodka at home. I learned on laboratory supplies and just like the control they offer. As those same supplies can be used for so much more...
If that makes me sound like a geek... how many of you know someone that can make real strong vodka/schnapps at home? Oh and make it look "science-y"?
You missed two very purposely under advertised art gallery shows of mine(not even my boyfriend was told). Thus fulfilling certain legal requirements for claiming some of my graphic work AS MY OWN. this directly impacts my projects here on gbatemp. I had a copyright lawyer witness along with her friend. Not surprisingly I only had three people show up other than them, two were artists and the third didn't speak english and was only there for free food/drinks. But I crossed a few items off of my bucket list with those shows.

being this broke sucks... and not in a good way.
Having to be this nervous about what and where I eat is also stressful.
But I have a detailed to do list for the rastsan profile translations here on gabtemp. No I am not posting it - its a fairly large spreadsheet that sometimes crashes my laptop... (4 times) it includes the non rastsan stuff so Fairly large. It did make me feel more accomplished seeing it all laid out though even if it was just to see it right before things shut down. Note to self upgrade to laptop/pc when possible.
