No dumb idea of me buying it at a thrift store, looks likes no parts fried tho just the psu wont work with any pc ive put it in. and i have to other psu to use.

seriously though. save money and get a new one before christmas. either that or convince your parents that u need it now

If you just need something small like 500 watts, simply spend 40$ or so if you can afford on a low end PSU just to get you through until you can get a new one. For just two months, you don't really need 80+ PSU or anything, you can even get a used one for 5-10$ at most if you look hard enough!

its fine that old crap laptop can run gtav at like 26 fps so thats enough for me till Christmas...

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
