Moving house very soon, I don't think I'm ready..

Hi tempers:)

I wanted to write this blog for suggestions.. I'm moving house in 9 days, where I currently live I've been here all of my life (17 years) not once being in a new environment or place to live, I'm quite anxious and worried about it though, the safety and protection that where I feel comfortable is provided, I know it'll take time to adjust but lately I've been having a mental breakdown almost each day about it and my mom has noticed I've became more depressed, which is never good to have your family worrying when they have their own problems.. I'm not sure what to do, the security of being safe and living here for so long.. I'm not sure I'm ready, anyone here who haven't moved house or not many times please, or just anyone to leave me tips and suggestions how to cope and manage? My mental and physical health is being very affected by the stress and anxiety..

Thank you all very much.

You will adapt quickly, give it a week or two.

at first it will be difficult to cope, you may even miss your old home.
but when the new place is comfy, and the neighbourhood is neat.

then you may even feel better in your new home, just keep your cool.
all will be fine.

Hey there!

I've recently moved house to live with my boyfriend and it's a long way away from my hometown, 3 hours to be exact. I've lived in my old home all my life. I was comfortable with my own personal space and never dreamt of leaving it behind. Eventually, I had to. Not because I wanted to, but for other reasons as well.

However, I can empathise wholeheartedly. Moving house can be a shock, considering your routine is about to be changed dramatically and you have a few responsibilities to take care of.

It's been a couple of weeks since I moved and I've adapted to my environment now. I feel comfortable with the house I'm in and the street I'm on. The first day is always iffy and weird when you move out. As @leonmagnus99 said:

Just relax yourself, everything will be fine. You always have your family and friends, whether they're near or far to help you out. ;)

Hey bud Just...think about it like this even tho your leaving the community, friends, school, and house that you love dearly doesn't mean you will never see them again. Don't worry about anything that is going to happen during the move think positive, think about the move as an adventure to another world (tho this sounds a bit childish it still helps) with new experiences and etc. As everyone on this Earth knows life's unfair so on that "adventure" you are going to have some rough times and some times it will affect BADLY, but you have friends that you can talk to and consult about your rough times and your 17 come on your almost an adult. Life is going to get very bumpy from then and you won't be able to deal with everything that comes along the way. There are worse things to come than just moving from house so don't worry about moving worry about your future and how your going to deal with it/ you have your friends and family (if you have an older siblings I highly recommend that you talk to ALOT having a good relationship with and older sibling or any at that fact is beneficial for anyone) and if you don't feel like you shouldn't talk about something with your family or your friends then you can always confront that problem yourself or take advice from others to see if it helps you. I never moved when I was born but the house I am living right now I feel so alone there is no one I can hang out with none of my friends talk to me much and I am also worrying about my family 24/7, my sister is in Seattle,Washington and our family lives in Florida and we are Muslims and people now a days do some crazy **** even to non muslims so I worry everyday for them, but you know what I forget that I try to focus on what I need to do and the problems I need to face. thats all you have to think about it's the problems in the future thats going to get you not the problems now. If you tackle the problems Now the problems in the future is just going to keep on coming, but if you forget about the problems now and focus on the problems later you will have less things to stress about because the problems now will always go away but the problems in the future will never go away. I hope this helps you in anyway and I do apologize for typing so long, but I wish you good luck and safe travels my friend.
Sincerely,
(My real name)

I usually go with the following as a philosophy in life

That said I have places I can navigate in total darkness I know them so well, never even considered it to be a problem to leave them. At least beyond the annoyances that come with having to pack up all your stuff and load it into a van. I imagine it could be a problem for some but I would also imagine it should likely stem from far deeper issues.

Alternatively get some time in on a building site. See how quickly and easily bricks and mortar comes down or goes up. Will do something to the notions that the place you will have had is an impenetrable fortress.

Thank you all, I will take in everyone said, also @fatsquirrel for you it may be something to man up over, over people take change differently, not everyone finds it easy to quickly adapt..

I find that home is where the heart is, literally. If you can feel comfortable inside your own body, you can be comfortable anywhere.

Aside from the other tips, save your money. Become super frugal. Clip coupons. Buy deli foods at night. Talk to your service providers like they desperately need your business. Keep track of all of your expenses. Don't get tempted to buy haircuts and clothes when you need pokéballs and potions.

Seriously, living on your own means, you're on your own--you have to buy everything from toilet paper, to sponges, mops, brooms, cleaning agents, detergent--all the fun household stuff you generally don't think about, but seeing as your on good terms with your family, you could probably borrow a few things, I guess.

Be safe out there and don't be afraid.

I mean, I'm not moving house independently (thank f00k) with my mum and brother, although, the stress of transitioning from the current home to the next alongside bills etc is taking its toll

Oh, good, you'll have support. You know, I was just on ebay to see how bad the 3ds crisis is.....it's a crisis.
If you can let three or four systems go, you could probably make ~$900.00. I know you're outside of the U.S., but I'm sure people with a USB charger would still buy a foreign 3ds.

If not, maybe you can check to see if your utility companies offer discounts based on several things, like you still being a student or just bully them; I cut my friends waste removal service by ~$80.00 by telling them 'I' was going to change to a different company.

I moved to my actual home since August 2012. The other home was cool and all that... But this place is better.

I couldn't part with my consoles, I only play on Nintendo/Pokémon mainly, if it was that desperate of a situation for money then I guess I'd have to
