It finally happened

I have kept reading that entering the eshop deletes your themes and DLC and I never had that happen to me. Then on my NA SNES 3DS system, I finally download the themes from the freeshop and then I had to delete them all under data management and I figured I would just download a individual one I want. So I went into the theme shop and I tried to view my theme collection but I got an error and it wouldn't recognize I had purchased the other themes. So I deleted the themes and went back and redownloaded them and I deleted each one individually and I did an experiment. I went into the theme shop and tried to download a theme the system thinks I had purchased but instead I got an error and all the themes I had were gone. I redownloaded them again and went into the theme shop and left and they were still there so I figured out I would have to try and redownload a "purchased" theme again for that to happen. Then I went into the eshop to look at some games and I left and the Detective Pikachu theme disappeared right when I closed out of the eshop. I looked in my themes menu and all the themes were gone too.

Here is what I had figured out, you need to have a NNID on your system for this to happen. The reason why I didn't have this problem on my other one is because I have never created a NNID yet. But at least it does not delete custom themes as people have claimed. If I were to decide to create a NNID for my EU 3DS system, I will lose all those 3DS themes I had downloaded and would need to purchase them for real to keep them on the system. It would be a pain to redownload all those themes and then delete each one individually because it takes too long. So theme plaza themes are useless when you have a NNID and you need a NNID to purchase games from the eshop that are not in the freeshop.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
