- The IT department at the college has a few iPads that they're using to explore. They've been checking out various ways of making things such as inventory and remote management easier.
I was supposed to be assigned one a while ago, but I really didn't care... then I happened to be talking with the head of the IT program today and it came up that I didn't have one (I was going to return somebody else's to him since they were done messing with it), so he made me take it. I said no like 6 times and then he just stuck it in my hands anyways. XD
So I'm going to head into the iPortableDeviceThing™ section of the forums some time soon to see how I can suitably pimp it out. It's an iPad 1 on 4.3.5, and while I've read it can be jailbroken I don't want to risk things... but I have to admit the free app selection is crap compared to Android. I was hoping to get some cable wiring diagrams (or at least a copy of the TIA/EIA 568 standards) but I couldn't find crap.
Honestly I think my favorite use for this will be the ability to share stuff on the internet with my grandmother without us having to crowd around a computer.
- Also Terraria updated to 1.0.6 today. Totally going to make a new world and character to explore the new combat features and changed progression and all that jazz. Zombies in fire? Yesplz.
- Waiting on my Camera to get here. Still haven't decided what I'll take a picture of first. And no, not my penis, Tagzard.
