Im sorry I've been gone for so long but I wanted to update y'all why I havent posted in a long time.
As some of you might remember my dad has heart problems, for a while he was more or less in and out of the hospitial with "Heart Problem" however generally it was only for about 3 or 4 days then he came home since they could never find anything wrong with his heart or other levels which was strange. They ultimately was treated with surgery for his heart by a group of doctors from the University of the Queensland Australia (Note: They have a partnership with the hospital although its in America) and found his heart was relativly healthy and 47% functioning (up from 32% the last time) and all was well we thought.
However soon after his birthday (in early march) he still had issues and we were sent to a neurologist and then we found out he has a disease called MSA-Parkinson's. What it is to be simple and basic is it is a disease that is in many ways similar to Parkinson's yet harder to treat. At the very least it brought some closesure to our situation as we knew what was wrong with him.
Recently on Good Friday we as a family had decided to go to my great aunt's house about 2 hours away and spend the day up there.All was ok when we got up but what had happen was that we stoped at a Walmart in order to get some stuff like soda and chips for lunch. While my mom and sister went in I stayed with my dad in the car when he was acting weird and could not swallow which scared me and he passed out. I ran into walmart to get my mom and thankfully we parked up front and they were checking out and we called 911.
From there what had happened was that I he spent three days in the hospital and told us he probably has had MSA-P for about 4-5 years or so and that there was not much we could do but get treatment and hope for the best. Ultimately this was hard to hear about my dad and it is scary as his muscular atrophy is getting worse such as this sunday when he had it real bad.
So I hope you understand why I have been off the grid so to speak. I will continue to come check the temp every now and then when I can and I have to say I miss y'all!
