If you live in the Benelux and wanna buy Pokemon, read this!

But first things first, I want to warn you fellow Tempers from the Benelux. Read this:

Nintendo Benelux roept Pokémon HeartGold en Pokémon SoulSilver in Nederland en het Vlaamse deel van België terug. De games kunnen een fout bevatten die het onmogelijk maakt het spel te spelen.

De problemen bij Pokémon HeartGold en SoulSilver, die vrijdag in de winkels zouden liggen, kwamen aan het licht toen diverse gamers zogenaamde 'pre-release' exemplaren probeerden te spelen. Het spel gaf in diverse gevallen nog voordat het was gestart een blauw scherm met een foutmelding. Verder dan deze foutmelding kwamen de gebruikers niet. Onder andere game-website InsideGamer.nl bevestigt het bestaan van deze foutmelding, na zelf te hebben geprobeerd de game te starten.

Hoewel het probleem niet bij alle exemplaren is opgedoken, heeft Nintendo Benelux toch besloten de lancering van het spel uit te stellen, zo verklaarde het bedrijf donderdagavond. Nintendo meldde met grote spoed aan een noodoplossing te werken, om de winkels te voorzien van vervangende exemplaren. Een nieuwe lanceerdatum wordt 'zeer binnenkort' bekendgemaakt. Het Franstalige deel van België ondervindt geen hinder van het probleem; Pokémon HeartGold en SoulSilver worden daar wel in de winkels gelegd.

So, in short terms it means that Nintendo Benelux wants to withdraw all shipped loads of the Pokemon HG/SS games in the Benelux because it contains a flaw with the save.

So be cautious while buying it, or wait a bit, do what you like, I just wanted yuo guys to warn you.

he posted it as a warning to people that wanted to buy a game in a dutch speaking region
why would people that don't understand dutch have to be warned not to buy a dutch pokemon game?

And since french-speaking Belgians are getting the unproblematic french version anyway, they are not affected either. Same with Luxembourg, where it is mostly French, German and a local dialect resulting from a mix of those two (which most likely does not get its own version) anyway.
