So, that took me a few days of sifting through many, many magazines and I think I know what comes after the 3DS: Nintendo phone/NintendoXAT&T. It'll probably have a detachable controller and all the other features of an iPhone/Galaxy 7, depending on how the market looks. I guess it'll be out by 2019/20. Look at how long a 3-D handheld took; this magazine is from 1999.

That should be part of the plot for Sonic Adventure 3: everyone is a robot built by Mecha Sonic, who tries to capture and clone Sonic because Mecha Sonic can't use Chaos Emeralds and needs a living body in order to become (insert other word than super or hyper, barring mega or ultra) Sonic.

But Tails doll keeling me in my sleep will happen before Sonic Adventure 3.
