Sort of. Today was when I was suppose to take my standardized test for Reading.

So yeah, it's a big deal, to me at least.

I guess it just bothers me that I did it on this day.

I rarely oversleep because my mom is always there to nag at me, so I have to wake up (reluctantly) even if I don't want to. X_X But when she went overseas once I missed 3 days of school. :3

I went through my entire High School career without missing a single day. They even gave me a medal right before graduation.

But, I've missed two class periods in College. It's no big deal. I missed a shit load of class in Middle School because we were going to move across the country and I was like fuck this shit. It was wierd, because I technically failed a grade in the school I was leaving, but when I got where we were going they let me go to the next grade. Worked out pretty well.

Anyway, don't worry about it, don't they have makeups and shit for stuff like that?

Erm, alarm clocks? I use a phone that can schedule 5 alarms, and I put them on in 5-minute intervals so I'm forced to endure 5 alarms in a row. It usually works.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. In the real world there's not too many consequences for sleeping in (as long as it's not done consistently!!)

The only exceptions are in jobs that are time sensitive (traders for example)

Sleeping in happens. Try to go to sleep earlier so that you're ready to wake up in the morning when your alarm goes off. I never am, but I'm always just awake enough to hit snooze until I'm so annoyed that I just get up anyways.

I usually sleep at around 12:00 A.M. My school starts at 8:00 A.M., but I wake up at around 7:15.
What time did you oversleep by?

When I lived about 2-3 miles from my high school and my friends and I missed the bus, we walked one day.

And got lost like three times. What an adventure.

about 3 mins. I go on the bus about 6:19. I woke up at 6:21.

It's fine unless it becomes a problem.
My idiot friend slept in pretty much every single day of his grade 12 year. Annoyed the crap out of me (incompetence annoys me).

Man, sux you slept in on a standardized test day. They can be reeeeeal crazy about them.

I remember on my 9th (?) grade PSSA's math day I had a stomach virus and they thought I was faking it. I could barely move without immense pain let alone take a challenging test. They wouldn't let me go home or anything either, I had to sit there and take the test in agony. I think I scored the worst that year I ever have.

I have never been tardy or absent in the whole 5 years of my education (OK so I'm still in 5th grade WHO CARES) but it happens. At least they have make-up testing, or that would really stink

i hated the standardized test it was too much of a hassle for me at least i i graduated high school.
