Yesterday I went to a party. I bought a bottle of vodka and was going to drink that. I took one hit of a bong, and then my night started getting fucked up.
Okay first of all, quick question. What would you say party's are for? Celebrating maybe, just being with your friends and socializing with new people. Right? Well, that would probably be the response you get most behind all "to get drunk" answers.
Anyways, this was the first party I've been to in years. I'm not much of a party person, and now I know why. At that party, I knew some peoples names, but didn't actually know the person. So I took one hit out of a bong to try and just loosen up as I'm more of a shy guy (fuck off with the Mario a shy guy pictures), and keeps to himself. I have absolutely no experience talking to girls or anything. I took one hit of a bong, and my whole night started turning to shit.
At first, I wasn't feeling anything. Then all of a sudden it hit me hard and fast. But this wasn't the regular kind of being high where it feels like I'm smiling all the time. This was probably the worst that has happened to me. That whole night, I did not laugh or anything. Here's a list of things that started going wrong with me:
It just kept getting worse and worse. Then I started thinking about things, and started thinking about death. Stay with me. I started thinking about that, and kept wondering if all the people who were coming outside wondering if I was okay (because they took multiple hits of the same stuff), would even know if I was gone walking to do whatever. I started losing feelings in my knees, so they kept wanting to buckle out from underneath of me. Then as my whole world just kept spinning and I was zooming into this one pebble, one little circle wasn't doing anything at all. It wasn't rotating, vision wasn't zooming or anything. I concentrated on it. And then something started talking to me.
I think it was my subconscious or whatever, because it helped me. I was starting to run out of air and felt tight (Even though I was outside in the rain), and I almost threw up. You know how you have like different levels and gags before the barf comes out your mouth? Well I was on the last level. One more and I would've vomited. Anyways, then I heard a voice, telling me what was happening.
"Ryan, listen to me. You don't need to throw up. You can fight this. Concentrate hard enough, I'll guide you."
That was the first thing that happened. I started concentrating and surely enough, I didn't need to throw up.
"Just concentrate on this circle. This is what's real. Now start breathing hard to get the smoke out of your lungs. You did good coming outside in the rain. You also did good on checking your memory and keeping it active and naming people as they walked by."
So I breathed hard. And my friend came out and started watching me, wondering what the fuck happened to me. I couldn't answer. Well I was in my mind, but it's something where you can't talk, like it feels like your mouth is frozen.
Then I started gaining control of my body. Now everybody was worried about me because I was outside for a good hour or so wondering shit, what will happen. I wish I could answer them when they asked the questions, but at that time, I was just worried about me and trying to recover.
I managed to get back inside, and that little voice I heard was suddenly gone. It was weird, it guided me and told me to concentrate and helped me know what was real and what what I was feeling and everything isn't real.
I managed to pull myself inside, and sit down on a couch where I remained for the whole night. I saw two really cute girls, but as aI said, I have no experience in talking to them as I'm a really boring person, and I just wanted to get a grip on reality. One I was staring at, even though it didn't feel like I was, even though I know I was... she looked at me, and gave me this look.. like.. she raised her eyebrows and opened her eyes wide and smiled you know? (Sorry, I'm still recovering as I type this). Anyways, I think she knew I was high, thats why she didn't get freaked out or whatever. She was really cute. I wanted to say hi so bad.
Bah, anyways, I was out of my comfort zone at the party. I'm not a big socializing person. I won't be going to one again. I also won't be smoking again because that was the worst that I had been. I was scared but I couldn't tell anybody.
