Got My First Warn Points

Yep, apparentally even pictures of naked painted women are against the rules. I'm actually pretty impressed by the personality in the "Gotcha!" message - even with forums smaller than this, it's usually just a big long list of rules and things you may have done to deserve it. The higher ups here are pretty cool about it. At least Vulpes. I don't know how the rest of you deal with it.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway. Iron Maiden concert was awesome. The merch was way overpriced, though. $50 for a T-shirt. $10 for fries. Pizza was cheap (See: Acceptable) though - $6. Nothing bad happened, but the opening band sucked. Dream Theater, anyone? Just...not very good. And I'm not really talking about their music either - it sounds a lot better without the keyboard sounds (and trust me - I'm a huge keytar fan). Their stage performance sucked. I mean, you're touring with Iron Maiden and the only action I see going on stage is the singer walking around with the microphone. Bah. Then maiden came on and blew me away - real cool dudes. Also - Eddy.

And of course, because I took a bit off of work so that I could make the concert in time, I have to work 9:45-7:15 both today (already done, as you can infer) and tomorrow. Blech. Ah well, it's not bad money, and my job is 50% playing Etrian Odyssey II so y'know. Not terrible.

I got warned a few months ago and all my thing said was something like "The staff have discussed these types of replies and have determined them to be useless and are now against forum rules." Still no idea what post my warn was referring to though.

I'm warnless :)
Merch is always really expensive at gigs: I payed £40 for an Arctic Monkeys T-Shirt once :/ Glad you enjoyed your gig, though!

I'm glad they are removing posts that just quote someone and all they are saying is "This" since it does nothing to the thread what so ever.

YAY me too :D

I bumped a topic for no reason at all in the EoF :P
I guess I got carried away with the EoF's mischief xD

Not worth a warn or even post deletion. I reckon some pictures should be fine if there is a certain context to which they are drawn/painted. The one you posted wasn't explicit at all, it was more arty.

No wonder his name is in red! :O

Off-topic (and in my own thread too ><), but what if absolute power over everything were held by everyone? None has more power than another, so it would even out. Not even the strictest dictators hold power on their own, it's always shared. You just have to make sure the people affected by power have a good share of it. From each according to one's ability, to each according to one's need.

:O Oshit! Debating staff decisions!

.....Okay, I'm kidding. That's really not my style.

Firstly, monkat, I appreciate you not getting upset about this like many people would and have in the past.
A warn isn't meant as a personal slight.
And it's not as though I enjoy handing them out.
I'm not waiting at my keyboard, continually scouring thread after thread after thread while spinning a truncheon, just hunting for someone stepping a toe out of line so I can flex my mighty moderator muscle.
If you want to know the truth of the matter, warning people puts a downer on my day.
I'd much rather spend my time cracking jokes, meeting new people, and learning interesting things.

Last night I deleted a painting of a green chick showing her tits.
And I did so every bit as quickly as I would have gotten rid of a full color close up of some woman's floppy knockers,
a comic of GI Joe planting his flag in the Baroness, or a sketch of pikachu giving Misty the ol' "Iron Tail".

Basically, if I won't show it to my nephews, I don't feel that it needs to be here.
