Losan weightan

Most people surprisingly think I'm around 150pounds area, but in reality, I'm around at 200. Every person I know doesn't care about my weight, but I've always wanted to lose weight for quite a while. It's been like that since I was a grade 6. It should help me in many areas dramatically.

So, for the next few months, all I'll be having is Oatmeal (Unsweetened, no sugar, etc), lots of fruits and vegetables, boiled eggs (No salt), canned tuna, something with high protein and low fat as a snack, Bread (Whole wheat only, and even then, never more than 2 slices per day). Maybe some leftover Vitamin C pills I have. I'll also increase the amount of exercise by a notch.

Avoid every pop, and EVERY fruit juices. Only acceptable drinks are Tea, (With no sugar, splenda, cream, etc) milk (White milk) and water. Avoid food with high calories, fats, sugar, salt, and try to keep all meals very light. All the meat I intake must be lean, none of that breaded stuff or deep fried. I must also eat 5-6 times a day.

Today, I started off with

Breakfast: Small bowl of oatmeal, Vegetables, and one boiled egg.
Lunch: Sandwich with ham, (Regrettably cheese was inside, as well as a small amount of *Ranch sauce* shudder. Not my fault, my mother made it. I'll tell her to avoid putting in cheese and sauces next time.) lettuce and tomatos.
Snack: High protein chicken strips 3 pieces (Next time, avoid this like a plague, or only have 1 piece as a snack.)
Dinner: More oatmeal with plenty of strawberries.
"Dessert": A can of Tuna with a cup of strong Green tea.

Besides the Lunch and Snack, I think this will go well. I would appreciate any suggestions though. Pretty important for my lifestyle. Another thing to note is that due to diet and fuckton of work I need to do to catch up in school, I'll be avoiding my PS3 or any vidya in general. Including god hand ;_;.

Oh, and I also got a Wii. But again, I can't play any waggling on it until school is over. I have... Muramasa (20), Rune Factory:F(30), Trauma Center(10), Fire Emblem (Goddamn 40 bucks), and Little King's Story (25). The wii bundle I bought for 170 CAD came with 2 controllers (With silicone cases), 2 nunchucks, and 5 games. (FF:My life as a king, Resident evil archives, Dokapon kingdom, pikmin 1 wii controls, and Wii Play)

Think it was a good deal. I'll eventually buy Monster Hunter Tri, and Fragile Dreams. Everything else (First party stuff, and NMH) will be pirated.

ok well the diet seems good but you also have to work out...cardio is the best thing for losing weight and doing it pretty fast...just walk/run for 30 min-1hour a day and you will see the weight drop really fast.

When I said I'll increase my exercises, I mainly meant running around my area. It'll also include a small amount of situps and pushups.

I already walk at least 30 minutes a day, but it never really helped me "lose weight".

I'll just try to push myself to the best of my ability to run at least an hour per day. It should help my stamina quite a bit too.

sounds like you're prepping for gym or something.

if you're trying to lose weight just adding a fuckton of veggies and fruits with a bit of exercise will get you through. diets aren't about going all healthy, its more about balance. don't entirely cut out foods, just cut back and balance with healthier alternatives. what a lot of people don't seem to get is calories = energy. simply cutting back on meals won't do you any good, substitue stuff. if you're fairly active everyday, of course you're going to eat more and you'll need the food to sustain your activities.

your lunch was a bit too light, bring a long some fruits, a bottle of water e.t.c eating cheese and sauces is fine, just in moderation. your dinner was also a bit too light, all your meals are meant to be meals, not some puncy stuff. either decide if you're going to snack constantly and watching what you snack on or if you're going to eat 6 real meals a day. body builders do the latter, and have similar diets to what you just put yourself through but meals are much bigger.

i.e i just started some serious gym and here's my day so far

Breakfast: small bowl of oats with some honey and banana's, two pieces of wholemeal toast and a glass of milk.
Brunch: a caesar salad, and a couple of grapes.
Lunch: Rice with a type of satay'd salad, a glass of milk
Afternoon meal: Crackers, Canned tuna, an apple and some jasmine tea
Dinner: will probably be 2 bowls of rice, thai spicy beef salad and some fish.

Breakfast:usually cereal such as wheaties or frosted mini wheats
Lunch:i usually make 2 Peanut Butter,Apple Butter & Honey sandwiches on wheat thin bread
Dinner:ranges from things like pasta, salsa chicken, teriyaki chicken and other normal things.
Snacks:usually oranges,apples or grapes.

i dont really go for dietary type foods for dinner but i try to avoid eating fast food if i do its usually once a month at most. i rarely eat any type of junk foods maybe at birthday parties but thats about it.

I'm pretty satisfied with where i am with my weight i'm currently 220lbs but i'm 6'5

for exercises i usually do my stretches,50 pushups and 100 situps then i go for a walk with my dogs or run a few miles.when its raining i just use the exercise bike and set it to uphill and go for 30 minutes.

lol ojsinnerz wants to lose weight idk if they want to be a ripped body builder...

@juggernaut911 what position do you play?

Don't be afraid to use artificial sweeteners, they can make diets a lot nicer, and have no negative effects, despite what damn hippies will tell you.

May I suggest low fat cottage cheese or quark? It's great, filling, low calorie, rich in protein, awesome.

Good luck with you diet :grog:

Keep the eggs, they're an amazing source of protein that you'll need to build muscle. This muscle will use more energy, thus burn more fat. You need some good fats from salmon (also has protein, woot!) and homous.

Water as every drink. Semi skimmed milk, not full fat, go for skimmed if you will but you're loosing protein.

Should read something like this

Breakfast: Oatmeal with semi skimmed milk (Low glycemic index = will burn slower, more energy throughout the day)
Lunch: BROWN BREAD, have some sort of meat filling. Cheese is GOOD! Has a lot of protein, if you don't eat it in excess then fat content is not a problem.
Snack: Chicken/brown bread/homous
Dinner: HIGH PROTANZ CONTANT!!!!! The tuna should be in this meal. OR Pasta
Desert: FUCK YO DESERT

1 BIG RULE: Don't mix carbohydrates and fats because this will cause an excess of energy that will turn to fat. Protein in most meals is favourable.

HOWEVER FOR THIS TO EVEN WORK, you must EXERCISE, every other day, vigorously, make it hard.

Nah, that's a myth. Even the cholesterol thing was disproven recently.

[...]For these reasons, dietary recommendations aimed at restricting egg consumption should not be generalized to include all individuals. We need to acknowledge that diverse healthy populations experience no risk in developing coronary heart disease by increasing their intake of cholesterol but, in contrast, they may have multiple beneficial effects by the inclusion of eggs in their regular diet.

A couple hard boiled eggs a day won't hurt.

EDIT: Spices like chili, cayenne pepper, ginger, turmeric and cinnamon can increase your metabolism. The hotter the better ^_^

I'm 5' 8" and 145 pounds with no weight issues at all. No one really believes that I'm 145 (most guess around 100-120). :P Exercise is the key I think, I have around 4 hours a week of running (not jogging!).

First thing you wanna do is do not starve, because then your body loses muscles instead of fat. Also you should eat fruit for breakfast and in the whole morning a then vegetables for lunch snack etc. in the afternoon. Avoid salty things, sweets, alcohol. Eat fish, fruit, rice, vegetables, chicken, high-quality brown bread, use olive oil for cooking. Drink water.AND YOU MUST EXERCISE, it is absolutely essential - you can do running, cycling, inline skating, swimming, rowing, dancing, nordic walking. Also measure yourself, its not just about pounds, you may think you haven't lost pounds but you've lost inches instead - because the fat turned to muscle. Find someone to support you, or someone to go through this with you, it can be very helpful. Good luck!
