A big problem with a lot of the forums I go to is the Over-eager Forum Jockey. Sometimes he comes in the form of that fucker who responds first to a new _______ and the only thing they bothered to add to the thread was "1st". Sometimes it's the ever present fathead who wants you to use the search function, even though your question has never been answered on that forum before. There's the Product Fanboy, who will suggest you switch to product X, no matter what OP was talking about in reference to product y.
Now how for how this relates to me:
Yesterday I made a signature image for somebody who requested sprites of Samus and Ripley be included. I went over to The Spriters Resource, got the sprites I wanted, posted the end picture, and posted who had ripped the sprites. Immediately afterwards somebody came in the thread and started telling me to do things I'd already done, such as put the guys name in the image, add a background, and offered to find samus/ridley sprites for me. Thanks buddy, I've got source images on lock here already, couldn't you tell from me crediting the sprite rippers? He did have one useful suggestion, which was to make it bigger.
Now, this isn't to say I'm above this myself. I'll make shit people didn't ask for because I liberally apply artistic license. You wanted thing A? It sucks and will never work how you imagined. Here's thing B, take it or leave it, it's my vision of what you want.
