I had mixed reactions about it. It started out all fine, everyone came over to my house and we took pictures at like 5 or so. Then we left and got to the place 20 minutes early. It was a really nice place by the way. But anyways, we got there me and Steph took a bunch of pictures with each other while we were waiting and had great time. We get it, we get our picture professionally taken by the photographer, and just chillax with everyone until cocktail hour was over, which was a fun time by the way. You got to go around and see everyone in their tuxes and dresses. It was pretty cool.
So then after that, we went down to the actual room with our tables and the dance floor. We ate dinner and thats when shit started to go down hill. Steph and I were with basically our lunch table, so we were just having a good time with everyone and grinding like crazy XD. Well then, her friend (who was going with one of my best friends) and her were like "We are going to get our cameras." Lol, fuck that, they totally ditched us to go dance with other guys. To tell you the truth, I was a little pissed at first and then I was just like "Its not like she is my girlfriend or anything so I can't be pissed". So me and Kevin finally find them sitting on a couch in the lounge room during the only slow song during the whole Prom. We confronted them about it, Kevin was pretty pissed off, I wasn't though. They started making excuses like "We were just mingling with other people." I was like "Ok Steph, You, me, and Cierra totally know thats bullshit." (Because by that time Kevin walked away pissed off) They finally confessed to it and I was like "You could have just told me I sucked and you wanted to dance with another person, I would understand."
After that the whole night she wasn't in a very good mood. I think she felt guilty about ditching me, I mean she should have I dropped fucking like $200 on her to go to Prom. So after that, we grinded like crazy XD, I had fun. It was my first time ever doing something like this with a girl, because even though I can talk to them really easily, I just feel awkward when I dance
Alright, we left the Prom like a half hour early because everyone was ready to go. Kevin didn't go with us because he was still pissed at Stephs friend for ditching us. I think he overreacted personally, Yes, It was a fucked up thing to do, but you got to remember, they are highschool girls and they don't give two shits half the time.
Then afterwards I had a fire at my house, it was basically everyone who we were hanging out with at Prom and my brothers and a bunch of his friends. Steph like completely changed from the time she dropped me off to the time she came back. When I was around her, I couldn't get a peep out of her but when I wasn't around she was talking her head off with everyone but then I walk up and she just stopped and started texting on her phone and paid almost no attention to me. Everyone was like "Neil, What are doing? Hook up with that shit dude!" I talked to all of them and I was like "Well, its kinda hard to do anything with a girl who doesn't even want to fucking speak to me." Then I had other friends at my house and I felt like a dick because I basically ignored them and I didn't really mean too. I was trying to talk to Steph and then my brothers, their friends, and my brothers girlfriend was trying to talk to me about Steph. My brothers girlfriend is a therapist and she was like "Wow, I can usually interpret things good but there is something weird with that that I just can't give you an answer. It's all over the place." So, I wound up sitting there just staring and shit and beatboxing on a Pan Flute XD.
She left at like 2:30 or so, I knew nothing was going to happen. When I walked her to her car we barely talked so I just gave her a hug and told her I would see her Monday. She was like "Ok, I had a lot of fun tonight, text me later." I was like "OK" but in my mind I just don't really give a fuck anymore. I probably won't text her or talk to her for a while, I am just mostly disappointed that nothing happened between us. Usually when we are around each other we can talk like crazy, but last night she just ignored me. There was nothing I could really do about it.
Either way, I am just saying "Fuck it" to her. She has done this to me to many times, We will stay really good close friends but I won't try to pursuit a relationship with her. I am just giving up on her once and for all and its final this time. Nothing will happen between us whatsoever, I am more disappointed that I chased with girl around this whole school year and didn't go out with her or do anything with her when I could have been chasing someone else who likes me or I can't find a close connection with.
