I really struggle with my teeth

It's 2025, and I don't understand where my dental hygiene goes wrong. Three months ago I pushed myself to wear braces as i am afraid that i may get gum receding if my crowded teeth weren't fixed. Three months later, my dental hygienist alerted me that my dental hygiene wasn't great. I have an early/mild gum recession.

The news really shocked me to the point i felt like getting a heart attack. I put the braces to prevent this situation. I do whatever it takes to clean my teeth, yet it seems an uphill battle. I grind every day to clean my teeth to prevent calculus build up, yet it's still happening.

To console myself, I keep watching the worst scenario of what could possibly be if I really need to do gum grafting. It looks... Not too bad. But no way i am doing this while i am getting braces. Fortunately the bones of my teeth are still strong and it's just a matter of sensitivity. It's not a life shattering situation, but I feel being punished.

Sounds like your 'hygenist' is cleaning out your bank account!

Who said braces would stop receding gums and did you have this problem before? Braces do quite the opposite in fact, they are for straightening/realignment of teeth! I feel the braces have caused your problem and you should have been advised as such if that was your only reason for having them.

Go see a proper dentist and get proper advice 👍

I have receeding gums and gum disease. I was told I was going to lose all of my teeth years like 20 years ago. Still have them. Most every dentist insisted I had gum planning and scaling done regularly to prevent the loss of all of my teeth. I was told that for many, many, many years on end. I had it done once a long ass time ago and it was not a good experience so I never had it done again. Still have my teeth despite having gum disease and receeding gumline. Last dentist I saw in 2025 after not seeing a dentist for a very long time told me he didn't see any cause that I would lose all of my teeth any time soon despite the gum disease Ive had for like 2 decades.

Beets restore and empower gums; carrots restore and empower teeth. I'm living proof of this. Available to research for oneself by means of medical database records.
