Note: I can't switch to Android.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that Siri suggestions are quite amazing. Based on your habits, location, and more it knows what you want to do, when you want to do it.

Wait a minute, hold the phone, drop the mic.

What?

This has slightly become a problem for me in terms of security.
Apple boasts having high security phones, nearly impenetrable to viruses or some shite, but what about Apple-to-client security?
iPhone usage data is sent to Apple, processed, and then can be used for things like "improving Siri and Dictation" or "casually knowing what you do every day."

I'm slightly concerned for my privacy.

Even though I disable all of the things like sending personalized usage data and opting in for more generic ads, it's still picking up on things I do.

No lie, the other day, it said this:

I'm sorry, what the actual heck?

Based on my location...
In my house...
It says I should open Messages?

While it's not wrong, this implies Apple is tracking my personal habits based on things like my location when I do them.
Does anyone else find this terrifying?

I'm a little scared.

All modern technology is a Trojan horse.

They take all kinds of liberties, literally. Money is worthless. Data will soon be crowned king and then you'll get what its all about.

Welcome to the self-accepted surveillance-mode era.

Disabling functions not always means it won't continue tracking your habits, Siri, Cortana, Google and all alike software relays on your own life day habits to be able to do what they do, but you should know and have accepted that already.

The main concern should be that those closed-source apps might not disable hardware usage even if the software is "configured" like so, as we can't see and check the source code, we must trust the companies that created that software, the final step is up to ourselves.

Myself I won't use an Apple product even if it was a gift, no matter its price, I don't trust Apple at all, but that's just me.

Eh, I wouldn't worry that much. I think it's kinda cool how it can tell where in your house you are, even if it is a bit creepy. Still wouldn't switch to iOS thought, since evrything else about it kinda sucks. Plus my house is already built on Windows and Android (+ an Ubuntu server)

Your personal information—which is encrypted and remains private—stays up to date across all your devices where you’re signed in with the same Apple ID. As Siri learns about you on one device, your experience with Siri is improved on your other devices. If you don’t want Siri personalization to update across your devices, you can disable Siri in iCloud settings. See Keep what Siri knows about you up to date on your Apple devices.

Siri is designed to protect your information, and you can choose what you share. To learn more, see the Siri Suggestions, Search & Privacy website.
But isn’t my Apple ID stored on Apple servers? 😎

People say Tim Cook was a better CEO because he's a better businessman. However, that ruins the entire point of Apple, it's not about business, it's about art. Steve Jobs definitely would not approve!!!!!!

If it were about Art for Apple and not business, all their customers would had the legal right to repair their products whereever they would see fit, instead of being asked to replace them for more recent ones. Most recent products have a software verified serial number attached into each replacement part, so no one but Apple are able to replace/fix them, which increases exponentially their "repair" cost, because customers actually pay for a complete replacement part, and not a low level (component) repair service.

Apple is the worst friend of all their customers in the repairablilty context of things.

VPN I think would help. Only if I wish to use Maps, it messes with my location in the wrong way. Then I can't get people like Uber to come to my location. smh. Well... I don't know what to say Sir.

Steve Jobs was kinda chill ngl. If he was still around, the iPhone 13 Pro would probably have mastered foldable technology. Instead we have a big-arse camera. Smh.

android especially samsungs do the same "spying" so android isnt an escape (as long as u dont go the digital paranoid route with lineage etc but at that point u could just use a non smart phone)

This sounds reasonable. But the default setting is very important. Many users actually do not know they can turn off some data collection. But anyway, as long as you use phones, you can always be tracked. It depends on who are interested in your data. :)
