[PSA] If you are cared about environment DO NOT trade Bitcoin!!!

We could instead push for cleaner/renewable energy sources and realize that the greater problem is the methods used to create electricity. We could also find better methods of generating cryptocurrencies. There are far better methods of going about this that isn't just pretending to tell people to stop or belittling people for using crypto.

@Lilith Valentine not, if energy about BTC mining came from nuclear or coal, it will change if all electricity came from renewable source, but at current situation, it's NOT very environment friendly.

I think might be missing the point of what I am saying. Bill is telling people to stop doing something that is making them money and not addressing the greater problem at hand. The issue less bitcoin takes up too much power and more, power companies are still using harmful methods of making electricity; such as burning fossil fuels and coal. The greater problems are the method of how electricity is made and less how people are using it. So you are going about this the wrong way by trying to convince people to stop doing something that makes them money. The better way to go about this would be, "If you want to continue mining crypto, then you need to push for cleaner methods making electricity." This is a win for everyone, people will keep mining crypto and everyone else can benefit from cleaner methods of making electricity. There can also be the added side movement of trying to make cleaner and less power-consuming methods of mining crypto, no one is going to object to finding methods that don't hike up the power bill.
