So my hotel room has a ghost, and I don't know what to think about it...

Each morning in my hotel room at the Luxor Hotel around 8:30am, we get woken up by the sound of our spare bar of soap moving around in the ceramic soap tray on the bathroom counter. Our bathroom door is kept open in case we hear it, and it's happened again at the time of me posting this blog.

So since it's happened at the same time every day, I'm going to buy a camcorder from Walmart and document the event. I'll set the camcorder on the countertop aimed right at the soap dish before I come to bed and just let it record the phenomenon. It's LOUD because the bars of soap are small and dense, while the tray is ceramic.

If I can capture video evidence of the soap moving, I'll send it in to Frostmare TV and Nuke's Top 5. Stay tuned...

That's just me coming in and cutting slivers off of your soap each day so I can slowly steal it over time. One day you'll wake up with nothing there and that will be how you know the soap bandit has had yet another successful heist

There's no way I'm changing rooms... I've always wanted to stay at a haunted location, and this is exciting... I just want to capture some evidence.

It's really weird hearing the soap clink around in the tray... If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it was like a little kid trying to reach the soap without being able to see it, and their fingers just flick the edge of the soap and it clinks against the side. That's what it's like listening to it. And it's really unnerving since our room is dark, were sleeping, and nobody else is in here with us.

Trust me, I really hate myself for not bringing my GoPro hero 6... And my phone can't record very long without getting hot and stopping the recording.

I feel this Hotel should compensate all current Patrons and suggest Accommodation alternatives for them and yourself.

Immediately after, I feel Management should rebrand the Hotel as a Haunted Hotel and attract plus overcharge the right crowd ...

Already went to the haunted Clown Motel on the way here, and it was pretty cool and creepy.

I mean, a few times my door's opened/closed by itself so I think there may be a ghost over here too. Haven't seen them do anything in a while, though. Kinda miss 'em...

Give Professor E. Gadd a call; he could help - by roping in someone else...who tends to vacuum up inexplicable gold bars, alongside the more reasonable (except in quantity) dollar bills and gold coins. Does that count as robbery...?

I would set up a camera to record it (on a timer if it's always around the same time), and then as soon as you hear the sounds, check the video to see if it is a ghost, or if it's a rat dry humping the bar of soap. :P

Finally got an appointment with an ENT, but it's not for another month. It's already been 4- days of loud ringing in my left ear, substantial pain on left side of my neck and left side on the back of my head. Doctors here at the regular clinic put me on a couple different meds for a month that did absolutely nothing, then they told me there's nothing more they can do for me despite being in pain and my ear sounding like im underwater and ringing.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Then three chiropractor appointments which also didn't help at all so i didn't go to the 4th. Been trying to get ahold of this ENT clinic out of town for a week and finally got an appointment set up. But its not til the 17th of July so I have to suffer all this shit for nearly another month.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I hope relief from all of this is on the way because I've felt so defeated and severaly lacking in sleep because of the pain and ringing.

    @RedColoredStars, Vegas nerve compression?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Sometimes caused by spinal fluid buildup in that area

Can't wait for someone to add ray tracing and that kind of stuff lol
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
@Psionic Roshambo No idea. Clinic put me on Prednisose for 5 days, then Augmentin for 10 days, then Prednisone for another 15 days. When that was done and there was absolutely no change, I went to the chiropractor. Had three appointments where he cracked my neck and spine. No change so i didn't go back to the 4th appointment.

Sounds like scheduling an appt with the ENT was the best decision. I have many of those symptions. The pain in neck and back of head, ringing in the ear, being very tired all the time, dizzyness, etc.

@RedColoredStars, yeah the symptoms you describe sounded like that, I'm not a Dr though I'm sure there could be other causes but that one sounded close to me.

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
@SylverReZ Significant pain in my neck, shoulder, and back of my head. Loud ringing in my ear and sounds like I have an ear plug in. Excessive tiredness. Slightly blurred vision.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Been going on for 40 days. Regular doctors and chiropractor did not help. ENT appointment isn't for another 27 days. I hope I live that long.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
That really sounds like the nerve in your neck
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Everything leads to vegas nerve compression. which in looking into it, can cause very bad health issues and can absolutely be fatal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@RedColoredStars, That sucks. My mum had a very bad neck and she's been to many drs to see what the problem is, and none of them noticed anything (except for one). They found that her discs is squeezing between her esophagus.
