I bought my physical copy of Scott Pilgrim VS The World for Switch!

I'm excited to finally own a piece of videogame history and preservation. I ended up getting the Classic Edition, because I really want that Music CD and the deluxe case. It really is a great deal for everything you're getting.

I got royally screwed over (as we all did) when my phat PS3 died, and the game was pulled from the PS Store... It feels like we were being punished for 10 years, for something we didn't do and had no control over. Maybe Brian Lee O'Malley didn't want or need money. Maybe there was licensing issues, I don't know... I never looked into the why part... But my heart was truly broken 10 years ago, and now I can finally heal by playing this epic River City Ransom clone once again!

There's really nothing else like it. Cool music, great cast of characters (and acting cast in the movie), great humor, anime-style fighting+violence, and videogame references sprinkled throughout.

I think it's my age. I'm 49 and have little desire to play games with the graphics I grew up playing. Haha. Glad you were able to grab it though, I know a lot of people were really excited about this. :)

I'm 37, and will never grow tired of the games I grew up with. I've been playing Link's Awakening on Gameboy since it released in 1993, and still haven't gotten bored of it. And the Switch remake is fantastic! A dream of mine for the future is to open a retro gaming arcade. Most of the cabinets will be built by me, and just run a Retropie, to keep the power consumption to a minimum.

I'm told the game has been running acceptably in the available PS3 emulators for some time now. I look forward to trying it out myself someday - when it goes on sale at a discount.

The movie is unique, but I tried reading the original comics last year. Maybe they just haven't aged well, or maybe I'm just not the target audience, but I found them to be largely confusing and dull. It certainly doesn't help that a lot of the characters look the same.

I loved the games with those graphics at the time, and I still have very fond memories of the games I played and still love them. Just really no desire to play anything in that similar visual style again now. Links Awakening remake is amazing. Curious if you've ever played 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3? If not, be sure to look into it. :)

You live in the wrong place. There's several retro gaming arcades around here with the actual cabinets, not emulated. Also a lot of pinball places, and pinball/arcade combo places.

I have many retro places near me too, They're just really spread out. Most are in Portland, Oregon.

Yeah, this really should be the gold standard going forward for console games. I'd toss in PC games there as well, but seeing as Steam still reigns supreme on the platform, there's a fat chance we'll be seeing any physical release games that aren't just a glorified container for a Steam key.

Now, if only Capcom could answer the question, especially for the Switch...
