I just now finished my prototype "Anti-AFK Kicker" device.

I'm thinking of flashing them and selling them for $20 USD each, especially to online gaming communities. Minecraft, Warcraft, Team Fortress 2, etc all have servers where if you stand around too long, you get kicked off the server. Well this device fixes that.

Let's say you're balls deep into a TF2 battle, but you need to take a dump. You respawn, and plug this device into a free USB port on your PC. The device then pretends to be a USB keyboard, and strafe your character in a small circle until you return, saving you from being kicked from the server's AFK scripts. And since it's a hardware device, it's virtually undetectable. I can mass-produce these quickly and cheaply, if there's a market for them. I know it helps ME out when I step away for a few minutes.

This isn't a sales post, I'm just wondering if there's a need for such a thing. (I'm keeping my code closed-source for now.)

This sounds like it would be easily solvable with freeware software, instead of a USB device you need to buy.

Software can be detected and trigger a ban, hardware is almost impossible to detect. Especially disguising itself as a keyboard.

Ask yourself this: do the games you named implement a softwareside detection?
Minecraft doesn't. Idk about WoW.
I wouldn't bet on this idea, you would probably waste too much money with that.
What I would see is maybe an automated script for example to make a league of legends bot or something like this but this would probably take a lot more work to do.

Definetly cool DIY but i don't think that 96% of player will need or use this.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking, just wanting feedback and seeing what people think. I know some admins will kick you if they know you're getting around their AFK scripts, an admin on a Minecraft server knew exactly what I built in-game and what it was for, lmao. It used water to push me over some steps, so my character technically "walked".

You know what they say when it comes to taking a crap in the serious business known as multiplayer gaming!

It's just a pro micro,

Or a very cheap (but compatible) version:

Also any arduino compatible board would do the exact same thing - and cheaper. Just release the code you uploaded to it for free. Although I imagine it's pretty easy to recreate.

Yes Mr.Dude, but I'm aiming to make a small profit. And I can get those boards for MUCH cheaper, especially in bulk ordering.

@Jayro - as soon as you post the first board, someone will just dump the code as a bin file and post it - it's very simple to do that. You may as well just post the code.

It's probably just a modded version of this code:

No, I actually made my own code once I learned how to use the commands.

Seems like a better solution than a rubber band on an analogue stick at least ;). Reminds me of the GTA V money servers, or raising Sneak skill in Skyrim.

I don't play many multiplayer games, but I could see this being useful. Especially if you can edit the code to do specific things.

I won't need one but it's cool to see you making stuff! Nice work!
