Walking about the city

I was walking by the river today along a stone wall

I decided I wanted to know what was on the other side, so I climbed up a bit to take a peek over the edge

Nothing interesting, so I climbed back down. My girlfriend said she wanted to see as well. So she climbed up a little, screamed and got back down.

I said, "What, spider?"

She said "No, are you crazy?? Did you not see the giant raccoon - you probably kicked him or something climbing up"

So I looked into the little hole I had placed my hand in to climb up and look!

He was calm and behaved, but I wonder if maybe I scared the bejeezus out of him. We left him on his own after that. Sorry little guy.

We are allowed to exercise, go on one walk a day and what not

Just all the businesses are closed and you are supposed to keep distance of 2 meters

I know it doesn't make sense as I eat many other animals, but the thought of eating a raccoon seems very cruel

He is just out there living his life - I would feel so awful to hurt him

Hurting an animal is generally pretty pointless. Killing an animal on the other hand is a different matter, even more so if you get a sweet hat and some nice kebabs out of the deal. Not to mention they are vermin.
