Girlfriend is in surgery... Now I wait.

She's got cysts on her right ovary and in her uterus, so they're taking everything but her left ovary (for hormonal reasons).

Prayers are bullshit, so I just have to wait and see how it goes. :/

@Jayro i understand the saying, and i also think you should keep hope up... just saying it's just alike religious thinking with prayers.

The difference to prayers? Well, in prayers you expect someone else to fix your problems. And you have potentially someone to blame.

It's gonna be fine.
I've personally attended far worse and more complex surgeries and this one is relatively easy.
Well, there's also the skills of the operating team to count but I doubt you overlooked this.

And... if you didn't want people "praying" for her, what were you posting about this for?? :ha:


DLC Story:
I once attended a surgery for a very elderly lady, approximately 94 years old, multiple chronic diseases.
She had a malignant cancer that took over the vast majority of her gastrointestinal tract.
The consultant surgeon had to remove approximately %90 of her stomach, %70 of her entire intestines along with parts of her pancreas and liver.
In a couple of days, she was all better and left the hospital walking on her feet with full plans of the remainder of her treatment in hand.

She's out of surgery and resting now. Everything went great, and there's no cancer. They inflated her insides with CO² so they can get around easier inside her, and after deflation, she's in a lot of crampy pain. But she should be on her feet and going home by tomorrow afternoon or evening.

This was hilariously cynical and pragmatic - but at the very least, I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say we hope she gets back to being herself quickly.
I know I'm late but better late than never I suppose. :)
