Saw the time before I pressed go but as we seem to be posting again then why not.

Of those I have been to Utah (technically, I had a change there once so sat around in Salt Lake City's airport for a while), Oregon, California and New Mexico.
The latter I did not get to see "for myself" as it were and spent it being ferried around so don't know what I can say there. Had a good time though.
California was fun as a tourist but I can see the traffic, San Francisco and the same house being copy pasted for most of the state (or at least the coastal drive down to LA) making it a sub par place to live. This was many years ago when they still had water in the state though. That said from people that have visited recently it has apparently not improved.
Oregon at the time was still trying to decide if it wanted to copy Washington state or California and was failing at both/taking the worst of both (still seems to be the case). That said my greatest memory of the place was the sand dunes there and having a great time in those.
Utah was, as mentioned, a technicality but if they want to do things as batshit insane as declare porn a public health hazard then I can see them winning a spot on the list.

Texas without doubt should be number 1 on the worst list. Never been anywhere more racist/homophobic/transphobic in all my life.

Also on the list should be Delaware. No idea why lol just have seen several Scottish TV programmes in the past that have all said Delaware is a shit hole.

To be honest I love Utah.
The people there are so much nicer than in more urban areas like Florida or California.
Texas is okay in it’s Blackfoot areas, otherwise I fucking hate that place.

I also hate New Mexico. The people there act like GTA npcs lol

Also why tf is Indiana number one?
I’ve never been but I don’t see why

Each state has urban and rural environments.
I feel urban environments pretty much suck to live in but are okay to visit.
I hate not being able to look up into the sky and see stars instead of the glaring
dome of lights that cities produce. And it's so loud and if you like wildlife... Get out. Cuz the poor birds
and other creatures need to adopt in ways that are sad and then people usually just exterminate them
like bugs anyhow and have no remorse about it. If you live outside of a city however, it's about the
groups you either create or can find to be in, and whether they're cool or not.

Ultimately, since there are so many variables, I think the thing that makes a place suck or not is the
weather. I fucking hate cold weather. I live in Illinois. This Winter has been absolutely brutal, fucking
-30 windchills, etc. and it still sucks out now even. The summers are awesome, I love to ski on the
water and be in the forests and sun but the Winter just makes the place suck. I would prefer a place
that's nice year round, but that still has seasons. Actually, I'd prefer to just be rich enough so that
I can have a place in a tropical environment and go there in the Winter, then spend the summer here.
So... If anyone here wants to get together a charity and everyone chip in and buy me a tropical pleasure
house, it would be much appreciated!!! 8) Thanks guys!

Nice necro

Also this sounds like the most intense competition the world has ever seen. Every state is fighting tooth and nail to be the top of that list.
