I'm obsessed with flat earthers

Lately, I've been completely enthralled by the existence of people who genuinely believe the Earth is flat. Like, how are there seriously THIS many people who can't comprehend basic math and observation? It's seriously insane to me and I can't help but obsessively watch videos of these people trying to explain why they believe Earth is flat and I don't know why it's so intriguing. I guess just the scope of how large this group is has been something I simply can't wrap my mind around. Now it's my goal to meet one of these people in real life to disprove their terrible logic with elementary-level education. Which, this desire somewhat makes me think I'm being a jerk, but I'll also be potentially helping someone not look crazy in their future (If I could even convince them, which based on my "research," seems unlikely), so I'm fine with it. I don't know why this is a blog, but I felt weird about my obsession, so I thought I'd share, lol.

@pokepicker

How do you explain the moon being upside down whilst being viewed from opposite hemispheres?

Even then, what for? This is the flaw I was talking about. If everything was flat, what would be the purpose of not simply acknowledge it for what it is? It's still a non sequitur. The problem is not how they justify all this, it's why.

Obviously, the lizard people who staged 9/11 and assassinated JFK are the ones profiting through NASA. They're splitting it with the grey aliens who built the pyramids.

@AaronUzumaki It's as simple as that you are seeing it from opposite angles.

You can do a simple experiment in your living room to prove this.

Tape a picture of the moon in the ceiling of the center of your living room.

Depending on where you are in the room, the moon will be seen differently.

:rofl2: @Pokepicker

Alright. You got me there. How's about how the sun sinks into the horizon instead of getting smaller and smaller until it leaves my viewing distance?

@Lilith Valentine yeah, I mentioned a few posts back how I watched that channel. I actually just came from their recent Testing Flattards 5 video when I made this post. I loved it. Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

@god88 Judging by the audio quality of most "conspiracy theory" videos on Youtube, I can't say I have seen many of them making any money.

Personally I'd rather call them truthers.

@Pokepicker You write too properly to actually believe this. Enough said. You said NASA makes big money. They don't. Fix your logic. Also, I believe earth is
pyramidal: now it's your turn to prove me wrong. Easy, isn't it?

@god88 So, getting billions of dollars for producing a few CGI photos and videos of a round earth, and supposedly launching (more CGI) telescopes and other probes into space is not "making big money"?

I have never worked with computer graphics, but I'm pretty sure the people working on CGI for the latest movies are not getting paid by the billions.

@Lilith Valentine Yeah, I watch Dan too. That was mentioned in the same post as CHL as well as Professor Stick, lol. Armoured Skeptic has some good flat Earth debunk videos too. Usually, I let Youtube autoplay when I sleep and I always wake up to hilarious flattard videos. This morning, I woke up to a 2 hour debate between a flattard and someone who thought the earth is round, but also thought it was the center of the universe. It was hilarious.

Another non sequitur. Those things require a lot of money to be produced. Money is not something abstract that materialize itself. It has to come from somewhere.
Also, you have my age and the internet is a thing. Ignorance is not justifiable anymore, in 2018. Your sources are random people, mine are not.
You have all of what it takes to understand how this works and to understand how money is made on the internet: not ackowledging this is an implicit
admission of guilt. You're in denial of something (theorists making money) that is obvious and demonstrable, and delusional.
Besides, your english is proper, so again, I believe you don't believe what you say and I call trolling BS. Not very good at it, because you do it for free. Make some money out of it al least, it would make more sense.
Also, you ignored my pyramidal earth theory, please debunk it.

No wonder you are brainwashed to believe in this hoax. If you lay around, sleeping while playing these shows, you are exposing yourself for what we "in the biz" call deep sleep learning. Or DSL.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
