Dank-ass nuggets of life.

I actually had to have a "Critical Thought"-moment:

com·mu·ni·ty kəˈmyo͞onədē/
noun

1. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. "Rhode Island's Japanese community" synonyms: group, body, set, circle, clique, faction;

2. a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. "the -sense of community that organized religion can provide"

After @ Costello asked, "...what other independent gaming site can you think of....", it made me reflect on what I said a while ago about the uniqueness of this site (I can't find it; go on your own Brodyquest), but pretty much, like a real community, we should value others' opinions to the best extent we can; if not, we should, at the very least, be willing to view it from another perspective and step out of our own
(mi·lieu milˈyo͞o,milˈyə

a person's social environment.
and try to understand what someone else may be going through, understand how to take things with a grain of salt, understand people will usually have a reaction to the things you say, mean, or do, and the response may not always be the reflected intention. There are mistakes in this thing called "life", but there are also erasers and backspace buttons; while not every thing can be taken back, much like certain
There are several differences between a physical and chemical change in matter or substances. A physical change in a substance doesn't change what the substance is. In a chemical change where there is a chemical reaction, a new substance is formed and energy is either given off or absorbed.
, we can do the best we can to get the desired result.

So, like any community, things can't always be perfect and universal law/human nature will pretty much dictate that an organism will do its best to adapt and survive, looking out for number one. That isn't always the case, but at its primal core, even the cells in your body do this. While not 100% (use viruses, bacteria and lysosomes as an example), looking out for yourself has been ingrained into our everything. Using bacteria to further an example, human science has developed methods to "fight" bacteria; our knowledge led us to utilize materials to help and harm number one. We used our collective efforts for advancement. A fragment of a construct; the workings of "community".

I guess if you can take away one thing from this: yes, you are unknowingly always looking out for yourself, but you can use your mind to look out for others. If you have the ability to help someone, do it. Understand not everyone is on the same level.

Help other organisms when you can--assist to the best of your ability, while trying to minimize self-harm. Never live your life with a "Holier-than-thou" attitude.

Life is a bitch and she fucks everybody.

@JellyPerson

She shouldn't have shit in my toilet and not flushed; it was like taco+beer shits. I'm hoping she gives me a beej to make up for it. I'll probably get a half-hearted handy.

Thank you--just something I thought I'd share. I feel there's a time coming when we're going to be tested and emotions are going to run high.

I totally, 107%, do not want an implosion in the community (foreseen in my crystal ball); we need to work together and this is all I can do for now, as I have a lot going on in my life.

I also feel terrible I could have literally saved lives, but put giving the fortune on the back burner. I still feel really, really terrible about having the ability to, but not utilizing it.

    Finally got an appointment with an ENT, but it's not for another month. It's already been 4- days of loud ringing in my left ear, substantial pain on left side of my neck and left side on the back of my head. Doctors here at the regular clinic put me on a couple different meds for a month that did absolutely nothing, then they told me there's nothing more they can do for me despite being in pain and my ear sounding like im underwater and ringing.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
    Then three chiropractor appointments which also didn't help at all so i didn't go to the 4th. Been trying to get ahold of this ENT clinic out of town for a week and finally got an appointment set up. But its not til the 17th of July so I have to suffer all this shit for nearly another month.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
    I hope relief from all of this is on the way because I've felt so defeated and severaly lacking in sleep because of the pain and ringing.
