as the title says, I don't really like winter. it's usually viewed as a snowy delightful time, but down in Louisiana, it's just a damp, cold season. ugh
Same, I rather prefer extreme heat than cold since at least you can do something about that, while the cold is harder to combat. Oh and you should mention that what you mean with LA is Louisiana because people generally believe it refers to Los Angeles.
Yeah, I agree. Although at least if it snows, and you can stand the cold, and the snows just right, it's really fun to play with the snow. Although the fact that a lot of things have to be just right kind of ruins it. It's really fun when it is just right though.
That's true about "LA", especially for us outside USA, LA is for Los Angeles...
And I love winter if the weather stays stable (eg: snow), if it's sunny and rainy then snowy in one day it's just a pain since forecasts are always off in winter! Even if it's constantly raining and stormy, I don't mind as long as it's stable and same over long periods of time...
To be honest, I don't like either too cold or too hot weather, most of all I don't like when I can't see the sun for several days, but...
What makes you say cold is harder to combat than heat?
Most of my life I lived in a damn desert where it gets so hot in summer you can do nothing but survive, even with the AC on all day it still feels like shit, and whenever you get out of that "AC-heaven" you die multiple times due to the heat shock of going from a fabricated 20°C/68°F to the "beautiful" ultra-dry sandy windy 50°C/122°F outside.
PS: I hate cold, but honestly, I really feel it is easier to combat. IMHO.
We usually are guaranteed one snow every year where I live. Usually high of 50-60 and lows in the 30s-40s during winter. It's beautiful right now, the fall colors of the trees are coming in and it's just right outside in the afternoon right now.
@sarkwalvein True, best weather is that cloudy chilly one you often find in Northern Europe. As someone who can be with a T-shirt only in -10C, it's the sun that's unbearable and makes me feel like I'm dying every time I go outside, only reason I'm almost a shut-in.
@drenal nice, 62 degrees Fahrenheit here and 9:37 at night. Only thing I would complain about is tourists and leaf lookers, but I can't really complain because they give us all their tax dollars.
@rileysrjay I haven't seen many tourists here, it's kinda confusing considering that Shreveport is one of the biggest cities in LA, but I'm pretty sure they're all in New Orleans or Baton Rouge or whatever
summer is far greater than winter. Everyone that advocates for it are people that have central air in their house and sit watching netflix while drinking hot cocoa
for me it's just an endless nightmare where i have to sit directly in front of a fireplace to not lose my toes in 10 degreesF every night in this beach house that has no insulation
guys i just checked to see what's in the fortnite item shop today and saw that metallica skins, atla skins and jjk skins are in the item shop at the same time rn, shit's not real
