Is dating supposed to kill your sex drive?

Haha... well yeah, surprise surprise, shadowboy actually went out of his cave for once. We aren't actually "an item" yet. but she already told me she really likes me and I'm just waiting till our next date to make it more romantic when I ask her to be my girlfriend. And she is amazingly beautiful. And smart. And I could go on, but I won't.

But yeah, whats wierd is that ever since we started dating I just don't feel horny.
I mean, literally NOTHING can make me get even the slightest bit that way at all.
Porn, hentai, envisioning hot girls I used to know naked... the only thing I haven't tried is envisioning her naked, and that would just plain and simple be desecrating her image, so I haven't (and won't) tried it. Whats really weird tho is that I don't even want to have sex with her.
I just want to talk, and be romantic... maybe at most after a while a bit of foreplay... but honestly, thats the most I can see myself wanting to do. I think I'm in love, to be honest <3

So my question is: is this normal or am I a freak?

Yeah, once you 'go steady' with her, and you get to know her, be with her more, ect. I'm sure you will start to 'feel the way you want to' ;) Everything will come naturally, don't worry. Good luck.

if you don't feel anything at all, either you are virgin and afraid of sex or you don't like her for more than friends.

Like they say: you are putting pussy on a pedestal, it's just sex dude. Many seeing as the climax point of dating and others enjoy it like a pasttime.

Not to mention she approached you, you probably feel intimidated by her. Just get it on man! did you know 40% of 20-40 year old women enjoy having sex 2 times a day?

I can't ever say that dating has ever killed my sex drive, but then the longest I've dated before having sex with someone is 3 days.

i'm not exactly a normal person in the normal ways but am so very far from being considered a freak on anyone's calender. exact same thing happened with me while i don't know if it's normal it's definitely a good thing :)

hahaha... i've been in a daze the past few weeks, its all just happening too fast... glad to see that it seems perfectly normal for me to feel this way for now tho.
And who knows, I'm willing to bet that if she did something sexy (come-hitherish) i would go for it immediately. Right now were both more focused on grades and stuff, so i doubt thatll happen for the next few months at least.

But again, the crazy part is that I don't even care. Like I said, I don't even WANT to have sex anytime soon. ^_^

OMFG I still can't believe I'm actually dating tho...

Look up the word "Platonic." it means "intimate and affectionate but not sexual." sounds like you, it's not bad or anything, a good few of my relationships started out that way.

To some people it's normal. But you're going to need to (and likely will) get over it eventually. You've mentally and emotionally put this girl on a pedestal and can't imagine wanting someone else or defiling her. Some would call this a symptom of love, or at the very least romantic emotions. It will eventually pass.

I've had similar experiences in the past, there are some girls I thought were just too wonderful to ever think my usual filthy thoughts about. It's usually only present in the early puppy love phases of a relationship, from my own experience. It's perfectly normal, one would think.

I had already lived the same situation as you, but the girl wasn't THAT beautiful out side, maybe that's why. But I don't feel like this now.
Like someone said, she will makes the first steps, don't be stress. :wink:

It sounds like you like her. To be honest, you should probably take it slow. Don't think you love her just yet, that could be a mistake that could hurt later on. That is just my advise from experience.

Wow... coming out of my latest breakup and now I see this post LOL :wacko: I too felt like I liked her a ton but respected her in every possible manner. Most of the time she was making the first moves for me (it was like 50-50 at first). This could of been the mistake. Respect is a sign of true love and mabey wanting to take a calm relationship...

You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
