any improvements needed? (yes i still have win7 but that's because i hate win10)

Uh.. It's pretty basic if I am going to be honest. Spice it up! Throw in a cool scene from breath of the wild. Look for 4k BOTW wallpapers.

It's very basic, but if something basic and simple is what you want then it's fairly fine. My only complaint is that the taskbar looks ugly.

I'd say aim for a scheme of two or three colors and use a background/icons/pointers/etc that fit in well with it. Not using Rainmeter at the moment myself but it's lots of fun to dick around with for days on end. Grey/blue or white/black/blue as in your avatar would be a good theme, then just find a desktop image that conforms to that. Hebus.com is a great site for desktop backgrounds, especially if you like abstract, though I would recommend an ad-blocker.

I'd suggest checking DeviantArt for some themes, there's a lot of really nice ones there.

Also, obviously Rainmeter themes can be found a number of places, but deviantart has had a number that I really liked to borrow from.

Fairly bland. Not that I can say much. Mines just the black win 10 taskbar, an anime wallpaper and no icons.

Your taskbar is horrible, if you want to use Windows' classic Start Button, shrink that fucking taskbar (Toggle small icons) and you should probably pair it up with classic Windows' wallpaper, otherwise, you need something more simple to avoid clashing with the no non-sense design.

Furthermore, you should swap icons, they are clashing with the UI and hide some of them.

TL;DR: Make it coherent, make it minimal.
