Raspberry Pi collecting!? What the hell am I doing?

Maybe I'll buy one for htpc. Is it good for that?

Haha tell me about it...I hemmed and hawed over getting one solely for emulation stuff (when I already have 324578234759283475 other things that do the same thing), and I finally broke down when I found a non-price-gouging deal on a bare Pi 3 B.

...then like a -week- later, there was a deal on arrow.com (large electronics parts supplier) where if you spent $20, you got free overnight shipping...and a free Pi 3 Model B. I went and got 4 of them from that deal

...and after that, since Arrow's site had some problems after that deal blew up, some people mistakenly received an email saying they still owed money...and so the place sent out free Pi Zero W's to them (me included) as an apology :o

@plasturion All the Pi models work great for media center type stuff with OSMC/Kodi and the Pi3 works great for emulation. I'm not sure about DVR if you are planning to use it for that though.

Thanks, I don't like Pi3 has cortex-a53 40nm, so heating, and thortling and lifetime. It should be smaller like in mobile phones (28nm). The Pi2B runs at about 60 to 65 C and the Pi3 runs at 80 to 85C. Maybe Pi2B with cortex-a7 is better.
