Sony says it's fine to have sex in live streaming on The Playroom

I like watching streams on PS4, and found The Playroom to have some nice streams (people painting, playing instruments, cooking, etc.)

Until I found one with people having sex in live....
I reported it, and sony replied to me it doesn't break their line of conduct, and my report was abusive. I could have my PSN account banned instead for doing that.

So, you know what? go to hell
I'll never report again. Not my business and not my problem.

So now you know it's fine to have pornography on video game consoles where children are playing and watching...

That is just... Wow... I'm amazed that live streaming sexual acts doesn't break their code of conduct. I'm amazed as well that they'd threaten you with a ban for reporting something that common sense says should not be allowed on such a public and easily accessible platform. The fact that this is actually allowed over such a service is mind-boggling.

This is absolutely f***ing bullshit. This is why I ditched sony ever since. Their terms have always been so stupid.

Even more surprising, people actually look at The Playroom livestreams?


This "sex" has been going on since the PS4 was released, iirc. I don't know why Sony replied to you in that manner though. I know for a fact they have been stopping streams and sometimes even termating accounts because of the issue. All this applies to the U.S however, I don't know if they if other regions of Sony think differently.

yeah, maybe they don't act the same in USA and Europe. I reported it in French, and got a reply in French.
Maybe it's a pre-formated reply I received, but they decided to do nothing about it.

I started watching these streams as they were in the "recommended interactive streams". But most of them are just uninteresting trashes and people are drunk, insulting, smoking, etc.. But sometime I see interesting people broadcasting their activities, like cooking, baking, painting.

I think it's wonderful that Sony recognizes sexuality as a normal part of the human experience, and won't participate in demonizing it. Good on them to call out busybodies who can't mind their own beeswax.

giving you freedom to do what you want with it is something awesome.. but let me choose if i don't want (or my kids) interact with adult content...
there are image boards that give you freedom to post nsfw content.. and even if am an adult living alone sometimes i turn off the NSFW content becuase it is not amuzing sometimes that for every 5 pictures that i see 4 are about lady parts...

PSX = A very good start
PS2 = The best job Sony ever do!
PS3 = Haves some "fails" but it's great
PS4 = Sony it's now *u**ed up!

That's the risk you run when you let your kids have access to the unpredictable internet. I can't imagine why you'd allow your kids video with strangers even if they were clothed.
