games and online passes..

so i got a free rental coupon from family video from my mom. i went to the store and pick up tekken tag tournament 2 and saw the online pass was in there and like has always the code was used so i tried to see if i can go online and see if i can get a little trail for 24-48 hours option well guess f-ing what the game gave me the bird it wants me to buy the damn pass i don't know why games do this... i mean i can understand the xbox 360 getting hacked and shit but the ps3 can't get hacked on it's highest firmware for online i think the people who make the games are just been greedy assholes... i think they should at least give you a little free taste of online i'm glad i bought DOA 5 online it came with the online pass. this is why i hate disk games sometimes... mortal kombat gave a trail but i bought it so i did not need it. but i did not lose any money on this so it's a win-lose for me i guess. just wanted to post this useless blog shit i guess.

It's all about the money. It was an attempt to hinder the used gaming market. Doesn't matter if you can get a game cheap if you have to pay $15 or whatever for an online pass. Either way they earn money on used games that way.

As Malice said, it's a way to prevent some used game sales. I mean, it's effective, and doesn't really fuck the consumer over that much.

But it's weird, every time I've bought a used game that came with codes or online passes, it's never used, it's always gone through.

Games that had the codes was Arkham City that had the Catwoman DLC and Jokers Carnival Challenge DLC went through no problem. Mass Effect 2 as well, it had the code on the paper, I used it and had no problem.

The only thing I can think of is the employee at EB games puts it in or something.

I hate online passes so much.
I brought LittleBigPlanet PS Vita for $34.00 used and now I gotta pay $9.99 for a pass on PSN.
I should have ordered a new copy on Amazon but damn it, I couldn't wait...

yeah now TTT2 is one PSN LOL after a month it came out so i bought it once i got back in the ps3 screen. so it's all good.
