A serious question about Cuphead..

Why is this game so overrated and loved so much? It literally just came out and it's already such a "big hit" and it's extremely overrated. I just don't understand, what is so great about it? I don't want any non-relevant replies to this, please keep it on this topic, and please only comment with serious replies.

because the game is genuinely fun and engaging, and doesn't follow this shitty cheap pixel art style of every indie game that has been released in the past four years

Just because of the style. If you remove all that, it becomes just a generic hard platformer.
It's a good game, but not amazing.

I'm even younger than OP and was still extremely hyped for this game! All beautiful hand-made art, one of the coolest things about the bosses is seeing what kind of cool attack they'll do next in the lovely animation! The soundtrack is great, the filters and everything really do capture the style of old cartoons. The game is very challenging but in a very fair way, not to mention no game overs thankfully.

Why is the watch blog entry button so unintuitive to find?
It is placed in a weird place, at least on desktop... not in the first place one would look for it (not in the second or third either).
... this should go into the tempStyle2 bugs/suggestions thread.

I played through the first world with a friend, It feels very polished and the animations are neat - however it is not for me, It does not give me any reason to want to continue playing other than to finish the game.

Cause it plays like contra, you know that KONAMI game people missed? Also it looks, sounds and animates well. Is charming cause is like a 1930 cartoon film. But you are right, if it wasn't for the look, sound and art, it would just be another 2D game, like contra, you know the game that people liked playing cause is kinda the same game. :P

@Yandere-chan Your router is probably old/bad. That's why the Wii U is that fast.
Get a new one when you get the chance, you won't regret it.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
