Xbox Classic/Original softmod and burned games

I bought a used xbox classic without mod-chip and softmod. Also, I have 5 original games.
If I install a softmod so that tease the software his xbox, can I burn my 5 games and I play my burned games?

For a normal user who just wants to use their Xbox to play games a mod chip is pretty pointless now-a-days. (even more so because of TSOP)
