GodMode9 isn't identical to wooddumper.

Ofc not, gm9 is superior for cart dumping, but in DSi wooddumper is the way to go unless gm9 is ported to DSi.

Its certainly superior in terms of speed, but it isn't as well tested as wooddumper.

I have ported this to HiyaCFW. You can now have wood dumper directly on your dsi title screen. On the DSI there is currently no alternative as far as I know.

2019 here. Just wanna know how to play the game I ALSO used for a computer emulator. So how do you reach the old save files for the game? (heres a fact i play pokemon black 2 on the computer (and thats a TWL.)) Also I have no dsi hacking experience so plz help.

For homebrewing your DSi, use https://DSi.cfw.guide. It will guide you through installing CFW and TWLMenu++, a way to play games through your SD.

Once you do that, you can use this tool, and edo9300's save dumper to extract save files from game cards.

How do I get Wooddumper working on the DSI? I usually just follow tutorials for things (That's how I got hiyaCFW on my DSi by the way) so I dont know exactly where to put the wooddumper files. A reply is unlikely saying the last post I can see is from about a year ago lol.

Put the contents into the title folder on the SD card, merge folders if asked.

However, GM9i can now dump ROMs too.

Now I feel like I'm being annoying, but I spent hours setting up hiyaCFW and wooddumper specifically for a legal way to get a Pokemon Black 2 ROM so I could do a randomizer, but the dump keeps failing. I was curious if it was just that game, so I tried dumping New Super Mario Bros DS and Mario Kart DS, and they both worked. I'm sure it's just something wrong with my cart, but if there is anything else wrong....

Just use godmode9 to dump the rom with. at this point I dont think legallities really matter with how ya get the rom.

Legally speaking you're not even allowed to remove copy protection that includes installing CFW

Ya really dont have much option other than to hack your 3ds. just download the rom from somewhere. Or go over to the DSi forums and troubleshoot your issues on the forums there.
