Hardware Wiimote won't sensor the wii for some reason

one of my wiimote can't sensor for some reason, when you need to go to the main menu, i require a wiimote to press A, i pressed 1 and 2 button and it doesn't detect. Some reason, it only works when i press the MORE button on wii sports when i play multiplayer. Does anybody got any answers?

You dont have to press 1+2 when you turn it on, if you press A it will automatically find the Wii, unless your batteries are low then It might not.
