Ok, I compiled r322 with that uncommented and if I switch display modes to the large panel with all the games shown as small icons and scroll around real fast I can get it to:
Mem2 Free: 446272, Mem1 Free: 0
The Mem2 free number changes significantly if I im single row mode:
Mem2 Free: 16326944, Mem1 Free: 0
I have 1151 regular Wii games on a 2 TB drive.
If I switch to emulation view I have about 5000 games across all plugins but no graphics loaded for the emu games and it looks like this:
