do you have standy downloads turned off in the options?
No, but it's not actually downloading anything as far as I can tell.
Yeah I could be wrong, but I think that's what it's like for me too. I don't pay attention, I just shut it off. It's orange for a little bit but then it does go white. Doesn't bug me.
You mean red?

It means Marcan is probing to see if his hack works on updated Wii U, lol. I do what I want and then shut off and unplug.

That explains why Nintendo didn't put it in the manual. It would be filtered. :lol:
Lol, I made a mistake xD
Uh what? No

Blue = Powered On
Orange = Standby
Red = Powered Off
Black = Nothing. it means you don't have your WiiU plugged into the outlet :/
If Red = Powered Off, the why is the red light on and why does the wii remote's power button work?

It's kinda like when your TV still responds to your remote control's request to turn back on. It's "off" but it still draws a very, very minimal amount of power. It all depends on what your definition of "off" with many modern electronics. If you look at it you're way, there's just no way to really turn the Wii U off without unplugging it ... which doesn't really count. In that case I'd say the "black" light should just be interpreted as "power failure" instead of "off."

    i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

    There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

    Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
