Hello All! I have a Wii U with an blinking blue light and no image. Is it possible to fix in any way?
I got it for parts, so I don't know the history, if it was modded or not, or how it got in that state. I have no backups for it in any way, but I have backups from my own Wii U.
From my first inspection seems like someone tried an reflow on the APU, but I don't think it's a hardware issue, because if it was than, I would get an red light. All fuses and voltages are ok, I can power it on and off with the power button just like normal, also I don't think APU's in the Wii U are failing left and right, as they are not that hot or power hungry like an PS3 or 360.
I have very good soldering skills, I can remove the eMMC or NAND and dump them with a reader, but on the software side I'm not that knowledgeable about the Wii U.
I have tried the Pico method but doesn't work as I get no solid blue light and no image on screen.
I've read some ware hear from SDIO OP that this is an boot1 issue from the TSOP NAND, is it possible to write another image from another console just to get it up, or read that chip and verify that is good, or get the logs from dumping the eMMC or NAND?
Any help would be appreciated to rescue this Wii U from scrap and perhaps learn something new to repair all Wii U's in the future.
