Gaming Want to see what big budget movies will look like in 3D on 3DS

added the new Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars 2 packs. I used a new program to create these 2 packs quicker and they turned out sharper with some slight jaggies (more noticeable in cars 2). They still look good though. Going to take a break for awhile...

Awesome thread. I started a similar one here, but instead of 3D movies I made pics of 3D games using pretty much the same methods. sounds like we figured this little trick out about the same time lol.

Cool 3D 3DS pictures

awesome, going to take a look at them now. hopefully the mass effect ones are good.

Didn't really notice any jaggies in the Cars 2 ones. A couple of the pics looked kind of flat. The rest were brilliant though!
Pirates seems to suffer from paper-cutout syndrome in a lot of those pics.

really? I thought it was pretty noticeable on lightning mcqueen. maybe its just because I was comparing them side by side it looked worse than it really is.

A couple of the pics looked kind of flat.

Well I can tell you why the first 3 from Cars 2 looked flat...because they were 2D flashback scenes from the first Cars movie lol. Didnt realize when I was capturing the images that they would be in 2D.

yea, noticed the papercut-ness of pirates also. I think this is because of the increased sharpness in the program I used.

Just tried the How To Train Your Dragon one, and it was awesome.

Most people, when the ask me to show them the 3D on the 3DS, they say, "Oh, I thought it would be like popping out of the screen", and these would be nice to show them examples where it actually is.

yeah sammys adventure is great. The jellyfish image pops off the screen alot. Made a animated version of it. pretty cool...

i have the sammy's adventure movie in 3d at home and that is the best 3d popout i have ever seen. Its really good. hope the 3ds gets good 3d movies too. The Dog video we got from the update looked like awful. horrible compression.

edit: wow these are impressive!!! i never got good 3d popout effect yet on the 3ds but sammy delivered again! these look great! Thanks

im so glad i found these. now i have something to show off the 3d effect. just yesterday i was complaining that i dont get a 3d pop out effect. at least i finally experienced it now without glasses! =]

still i dont get a popout effect with games and the 3ds softwares.

I was the one who posted them on 4chan. The links didnt stop working. the thread simply got purged. I'll stick to using this thread as the primary home for my packs. feel free to spread them around the internet.

Couple of Q's people:

1. Did the 3DS prompt about "updating management software"?

2. Did the bird mention something about going to a seed festival and wanting to show you pictures but instead deciding they were too "seedy" for you? Lol. Do you think Nintendo is cracking an inside joke because they suspect you are looking at pron?

1. Yeah but it always does this if you put in pics directly onto your SD card
2. I saw this too, but I highly doubt Nintendo can tell if you're looking at porn or not. Plus, it's none of their business.

If you want something else to try and do, get some more Sammy 3D. I bet the snake part pops out 4+ inches from the 3ds.

wow thanks. a lot of people like this scene but it didn't pop out that much on my 50 in 3d tv. some people claimed it came out a meter but it came out like an inch for me. i thought the seagull scene at the beginning was the most impressive part.

edit: just checked yours out. looked great! looked just like on my tv but its fun on the 3ds because you can interact with it like a hologram =]. the further away i move the 3ds from me. the more it looks like its coming out of the screen
