For people who don't like video guides. I respect your opinion as long as you are respectful and midful of what you say. If you don't like my content, it's fine. Just don't come here and say that videos are bad. If one knows what they are doing, they won't have problems. Besides, some people prefer videos to reading.

If you really wanted to help people you wouldn't have monetized the links. What you really want to do here is pretend like you're helping but you're actually not because someone WILL get bricked thanks to your guide, and on top of that you want to make money off files you do not even own. You're linking to opensource projects and making money off them which is NOT right and you do NOT have the right to do this, and you're also linking to copyrighted material such as Nintendo firmware and you're making money off this which is illegal. Honestly from the first two pages I didn't really see this "hate train" that the OP kept claiming is there and is after him .. But based on his replies so far I think there should be a hate train against this guy.

Spam+ that other thing that it's called something else in English. Since the ads urls are actually one of those famous once that can link to malware. My malwarebytes goes nuts on those shorters most of the time. Adblock Origin thankfully have the same blocklist so I won't get the popup all day.

It's not illegal to monetize GPL-licensed software, but you do have to provide the source code if requested.

It isn't illegal to monetize GPL-licensed software, indeed, but it's bad because somebody who didn't do anything to the community gets the money. Also, it's illegal to direct link to copyrighted material without the permission of the owner. And he has also monetized these links, so I hope that Nintendo will take this down. They took down TAS videos, so I hope they will take this down too. In fact, they have a good reason to take this down.

I think this is a good point, i've actually done a written guide in spanish step by step in google drive so my friends can follow it like dumbs; as one guy here says, video guides can get updated really easily but i think it's still a good thing to do, just make sure to mark the video as OUTDATED when the method stops working ^^

The thing is, it won't stop working. It would just become less reliable, but it won't stop noobs from following the outdated tutorial. If you want, you can still set up rxTools, or even Palentine.

And it's that fucking hard to to put up a guide that has screenshots and photos of every step taken? If you made a copy of 3DS guide but with images, it'd be million times better than a video guide with links to files that WILL be outdated. Also you failed to read the part which most of this thread touched where Yoshi monetized links to files he does not even own which is outright illegal. He's removed them now after A LOT of complaints, but that's where most of the hate came from to begin with.

If he really wanted to help this is not the way he'd have gone about it. No buts about it. I'm anxiously waiting for that one day, which WILL come one day where an user reports that they were bricked and they link to Yoshi's guide. Then you'll understand.
