like we said earlier : try another SD card.
or, if it wasn't you, it's because we got another user with the same problem. Sandisk SD Card are known to be fake.
try another one, your card might be the issue.

Hey guys! I've been trying to get the USBLoader GX to work for me but I've had no luck so far. I used the Wii Backup Manager to try transferring my backups to my C: drive to my USB, and everytime I try it on my Wii, I've had no success so far. Can anyone help? I Have a Toshiba 2 GB SD card and a Lexar 64 GB USB at FAT32, if that helps.

Don't use a flash drive. Use a real HDD. We cannot fix flash drive problems.

So the problem was with the Flash drive? Or does it have a high failure rate?

Most of them just don't work. Sometimes you can get them to read with a loader by using IOS 58 but that doesn't help when you launch a game using a cIOS. You just end up with a black screen.

My friend, I did not say I was using an SD card. I said I am using a USB flash drive.

Yes, it does.

I am using a USB flash drive that is 128GB formatted 32 KB cluster. I am not using an SD card.

1. With that said, still don't use a flash drive?

2. You said to use an actual external USB HDD instead. Can I also use a SSD in an external USB enclosure? (mSATA, M.2, SATA SSD)

Thank you in advance Mr. GreyWolf

if you use SD card, it stores the config on it (sd has priority over usb), if not it then tries each USB partitions.
it can be at two different location, if you used a very old version (like 1.0 or 2.0) :
SD:/config/GXGlobal.cfg
or
SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/GXGlobal.cfg

Just to add closure to this issue; I deleted the SD:/config/GXGlobal.cfg file and started USB Loader Gx again and voila! It works. Thanks @Cyan! Much appreciated.

I think not enough users tried it, so we don't have a definitive answer.

SSD is also flash, not a rotating magnetic drive, so it could have issue.
Though, if you use it into an enclosure, the USB interface that USBLoaderGX and cIOS are seeing and communicating with is the enclosure itself and not the SSD.
If your enclosure is detected and working fine, you can use it with any drives.
so, here, it's not the SSD's compatibility but the enclosure that you'll test.

Is there external USB SSD? or SSD are all internal sata to put in enclosure? edit: yes, found some. still expansive compared to hdd, I thought the SSD prices dropped.

When you plug an external HDD, it's also it's own USB interface (the small mother board plugged on the drive) which is making the communication conversion between USB and ATA which is responsible for its compatibility with the IOS/cIOS.

Hey everyone, I have been away from the wii scene for sometime due to my original wii breaking. I recently purchased a used package deal from someone in my town and got it all nodded. I have my original HD that I have always used and all my games are still there. In the package I bought it came with 3 games I did not originally own so I backed them up. When I click on any of the three games it freezes the whole system and I have to hard reset. All the other games work though. I can't figure out what I am missing. I am running a build cyan posted a few pages back. Thanks

@GartimusPrime Instead, trying using the latest version of USB Loader GX (3.0 r1268).
Also, do you have d2x cIOSes installed? Because you need cIOSes in order to run Wii games from SD/USB.
I believe I installed them, I downloaded the d2x installer and followed some instructions i found. Like i said i am playing Animal Crossing as we speak. All my old games work but the three new ones freeze the system when I click on them. It has been so long since I have done any of this.

Is anyone else having trouble loading GC games with this? Instead of taking me to Nintendont (which works fine if accessed through HBC) it gives me a black screen.

What version of Nintendont and USB Loader GX? (The version number, not "latest.")

There should be no compatibility issues with Nintendont other than the Wii remote rumble and BIOS skip options.

USBLoader 1268 and Nintendont 4.431.
Upon testing with a Wii ISO, it appears that the problem has nothing to do with Nintendont. When trying to boot any game, Wii or GC, USBLoader takes me to a black screen.
