use your cellphone to take a picture ?

Yeah, that's much easier than dumping the errors to a file.

The only useful thing I think this loader is missing (assuming the option isn't already there), is the ability to rename the games in the list via a .txt like in the other loaders. That and being able to download the disc images/themes, in the same way you download the covers. Other then that this is my favorite version!

LOL, already implemented.

Rename => click on a game, then in the launch screen (the one where the disc image is spinning), click on the name above and then rename using virtual keyboard.
Disc image (the one which is spinnig) can be downloaded like covers : click on the cover and choose "Disc".
Theme download would be a nice feature, not yet implemented...

I am not sure if this will get implemented, but first I'd like to see a theme switcher from within the software so it will list out all the themes in a folder and then will set that theme, it sort of works but you have to type in the new path manually and all the images dont load.

Does v 1.0 have an option to uninstall games? I couldn't find it in previous versions. Why wouldn't it be in this loader? It's very useful if you have a small drive (40 gigs)

That's what that funny little "Uninstall" button is for on the per game settings screen. We hid it there cause most people won't use it very frequently. This way it is hidden when the loader is locked, too.

r309 dol, elf and complete changelog
at [url=http://tinyurl.com/usbloader-gui]http://tinyurl.com/usbloader-gui[/url]

or just the r309.dol at my Mediafire folder where every upload goes
or ddl mirror thx to deakphreak -> [url=http://wii.spiffy360.com/getfile.php?rev=66]http://wii.spiffy360.com/getfile.php?rev=66[/url]

Everything was moved from config.txt to the automatically created save file since r305

Code:
309:ÂÂÂÂ *Fixed tooltip
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ *Changed max chars for path to 50
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ *Changed the covers and discimages to search for 6 ID first
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ *FixedÂÂissue 230ÂÂ(giantpune)

People who cant load the loader or having some troubles
they should try to use .ELF
since .ELF is a lot more accurate in processing code

I modified the source from SpaceJump and I compiled a forwarder that checks for
SD:/apps/usbloader-gui/boot.dol
If that fails it checks for
SD:/apps/usbloader-gui/boot.elf

Just inject it to your wad channel

Tested and it works with r308 with SD and SDHC

I don't think that everyone is aware that everything is moved to the automatically saved file!!!!!

Is there a sample config.txt anywhere? Also where are you supposed to place config.txt and titles.txt?

Config and title files go to SD:/config/
smile.gif

They are automatically created first time you access settings screen in the loader so change an option, exit, look at your "config" folder (root of SD card) and... it is self-explanatory but options are here : http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/wiki/GlobalConfig
Same for Titles : access a game setting, change one, go back and it is created

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
