I'm trying to replace font of the spider internet browser. I downloaded browser CIA with 3dsnus and decrypted it with decrypt9 and unpacked it by doing some intruction on other thread. I replaced romFS/font/nintendo.ttf but now I don't know how to repack it :(

I've swapped an european keyboard file with a japanese file and customized it a bit to change the qwerty keyboard to azerty, but it didn't work as expected. Azerty keyboard is there, foreign letters, special characters and cellphone keyboard are also there, but there's no kana keyboard...
The code.bin are the same by the way.

(this has nothing to do with yesterday, I typed this up before we talked about bricks) I'm bricking way too much. I have a constant HomeMenuEdition folder with the extracted files, and I copy the entire HME folder to a new location when I want to edit something. Made a home menu. Fine. No brick.
Edited the home menu to format text better (using the exact same decompressed menu.msbt from the other menu), compress it to LZ11, encrypt it, and install. FBI says the title already exists and Dev Menu says it is an invalid CIA. It's literally the exact same Home Menu that successfully installed before with edits to dialog and messages. It's weird, and really annoying since I have a 1.88gb NAND.

Don't install a customized home menu over another customized one. You have to install a clean home menu to overwrite the customized, then you can install your custom cia.

like this : normal HM > custom HM v1 > normal HM > custom HM v1.5 > normal HM > ...and so on.

Use an updated FBI and don't encrypt cias downloaded from 3DNUS, they are already encrypted.
Also, if your console crash after the installation, it's normal, just reboot it.

Makes sense, thanks!
Also, nah I didn't reencrypt it, it went straight from 3DNUS to the SD, and I installed with FBI 2.1.1. Reading earlier, however, I saw that changing the file to Home Menu.cia would cause a brick. At least I know the CIA was valid after all.
