If only Love plus had such a good team as you all :X anyway good luck!. loved your work on season 1 it was perfect.

I didn't do 1st Love Plus, jjjewel did

I'm doing the 2nd and 3rd one; 2nd Season and 3rd Story.
I have a feeling he/she meant that bishoujo Love Plus game which is aimed for the guys.

I think this error with the patch is actually a good thing now.
I've translated seven graphics that I didn't find before, I've fixed the errors with the tutorials/support/saves/spaced files and there are quite a number of folders done that were supposed to go into the 2nd patch instead of the first. However, do you all want those folders in this patch or the next?
Oh, haha. A blessing in disguise, perhaps? XD But I am glad that you can find something good in it, then at least you don't hate the problem entirely. ^^;

I'd vote for it to be put into this first patch. Like what ioukta said about the "getting used to the Japanese environment" part was totally true as I felt that way while playing the game. Another thing is that, if we saw Japanese text, our automatic response is to skip it, yes? But if we saw it often, we would be forwarding it quite a few times and may also unintentionally skip the English text too, so. :\ And with more things translated in the first patch, we can test it all at one go (well, almost).

Oh, I know, I was talking about the last part of his sentence

A blessing in disguise, indeed.

Very well, Inori gave the okay to put the extra folders into the first patch, too, so that's what we'll do.
It'll also make the 2nd patch quicker to test.

Hey there phoenixgoddess27, I actually went onto your blog yesterday to check out your more projects to come and I gotta say I'm very excited for all the games you've listed. I'm sure it'll take you awhile to get to TMGS3 considering the Fushigi Yugi DS game and Wil O' Wisp is ahead but I'm sure you'll have more people on your team and you'll be able to get the translating done faster. I would love to be a beta tester for the next three projects. All three games are ones I've been dying to play.

Again I, like many others, appreciate you guys' hard work in translating this and we will all continue to support you!

Nah, TMGS3 is coming first since so many people requested it over FY and WoW, but those two are after it.
Thanks for your support, it really means a lot

Working on the arm9 now.

Oh I see, well that's great news then! I'll have to mark my calendar for TMGS3 and FY for sure then! =) Thanks for an update!

The unfortunate news is that a fully translated webdata (everything to do with your computer, minus horoscopes) has a high chance of not being in 1st patch since I have to go over it again.

But the good news is that the following of my folders will be in it:

I - Work
K - Birthdays
L - Valentine's Day
M - Getting Sick

Feenie also has some extra folders to put in, if my memory is correct.

Just so you know you guys are all awesome

I recently attempted to play girls' side 1 (I say attempted since I have yet to get the guy I want after 4 tries now lol) and I am really looking forward to number 2!
smile.gif
I know they are separate translation efforts, but the fact remains that konami is never bringing us this game (series), so all you guys on gbatemp are rock stars
smile.gif
Looking forward to your translation once it is finished

A note about the extract/insert program;

From the translation scripts I got and the scripts I extracted from the patch,
my guess is this;

- Problem that the translated file didn't appear in the patch.
Could it be that you forgot to replace the files before repacking the rom?
If the inserter went wrong, at least it should show some mess up English text.
But it appeared as original Japanese file, so the possible reason is that
you didn't replace it when you repack.

- Problem that the translated file appeared as messed up text.
It could be that you insert the text file to the wrong raw file.
To double check this, you can extract and decompress the files that have
problems (from the patched rom). Then use the extractor to extract them.
(You can do the batch extract or one file extract.
Just choose Extract Japanese to check them.)
If it didn't look right, try reinsert the file and extract the newly inserted file.
If the new one looks alright, that means you inserted it with the wrong file.
(There should be a lot of warning window popping up when you insert
wrong file, so watch out for the warning messages, and double check the
inserted file if you see such messages.)
Anyway, if both files look cut off, etc. PM me your translated file and I can have a look.

And for other problems, just try to solve them a little bit at a time.
Don't pressure yourselves. If there's still problem with Arm9,
just release the beta patch without it first. (Just use the original Arm9.)
Leave the testers/players a note of what are included in the patch,
and what are not translated, etc. They will understand.
(Or if they don't, just ignore them.

Thanks for the pointers, jewel. The problem is that I never send any files to Feenie that have problems with insertion. If something like that every happens, I always consult her first (this is of course, after I make sure that I`ve inserted the English text into the right file. The problem usually is just my own stupidity, but there hasn`t been a file where an error message came up and the error couldn`t be rectified).

Before I sent the files over to you, I combed over them for mistakes, looking out for lines that I may have forgot to put a space in front of. There were a few files like that (2 or 3, from memory), but not all of them were like that.

V LOL xD

I just thought it was strange that all of the CGs were like that, I'll re-insert them myself and extract the English as Japanese to make sure it displayed correctly. I'm done with the arm9, it just isn't compressed, but I'll be attempting it tonight. Heh, well, I'll do my best, I'm a bit wiped out from not sleeping so much, working too hard and not having time to take a breather, so I'm probably just overlooking something.

EDIT: I managed to compress the arm9, I got passed the loading screen with AKAIO 1.8.1, but a white screen after that :/

There`s a high chance that it won`t be done. There are still things we need to figure out, things that affect the web data. What`s worse, there are conflicting things arising.

With the new font, the web data is all jumbled up. With the old font, the words are fine, but there`s a problem of the underlines from the "links" on the performance page showing up on EVERY page.

Things aren`t so easy to fix when it comes to these manual things v___v

You can still get the CGs if you follow a FAQ.

I believe I've fixed the arm9 and compressed it.

When I extracted the compressed version, the English was in it, so I tested it out on my Acekard and it worked. Just in case, I'm sending it to FAST/jewel for a double check.

oh no i'm not sayign it's easy, im sorry if i sounded impatient or something, it's not like that. Unfortunately i can't find a list of the opening dates for the special date spots, like for the museum when the exhibit changes, or the dates for the skii or when something new opens at the bowling alley stuff like that, does anyone have one? (i was thinking like Kei,
his billiard CG
i wouldn't have known it opened without the "internet" cause the icon doesn't change.
so if anyone finds it or if it's in japanese, i have the list of the dating spots in japanese and their translation, we can figure out the dates of beginning and end lol that should be easy enough lol

I hope you guys find a way of course so you can seriously relax lol

And Yokatta P

Yeah, that's normal. The patch before only worked on emus.
I won't know for sure if I've fixed the issue until I hear back from jewel, but when I compressed the arm9 and tried the rom on my Acekard, it worked.
After I re-insert these CG, Mizushima and Yuu files, hear from jewel and make sure the game actually works on my acekard with everything inserted, I'll re-make the patch.

For everyone helping with the inserting of the scripts, make sure you use the program V.3 to insert.
Other version will cause errors at some points.
(Yep, another cause of error is by using older program. Anything older than V.3 won't do the job.)

I'll check arm9 file later today and will let you know.
