This might be a dumb idea, but I've gotten curious about injecting a ROM into J Legends Retsuden or a Virtual Console title.

So, I've been recently dicking around with homebrew, modding tools and all that.

Well, I found out that the Old series 3DS can handle most SNES and NES games pretty well (with a few exceptions), but I got curious if it's possible to swap the ROM of a VC title or something similar to J Legends Retsuden, Sega 3D classics, or Ultimate NES Remix.

At least with Ultimate NES Remix, Sega 3D Classics, and Virtual Console, it's just an emulator that has the ROM.

But according to some old posts, J Legends Retsuden might be a port, though one person claimed they went through the game and found the roms in the collection's code.bin, implying emulation.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
