May I ask, does a fat jasper 360 have built-in wifi adapter?
Because I would like to have access to xbox live without paying 50 pounds.

Bridge the Wifi and the LAN adapter of your laptop/computer.
Then plug a normal LAN cable in your PC/Laptop and your 360.
Viola, free Wifi for your 360

The Slim is the only 360 with built in wifi.

Are you kidding yourself?

Do tell me how I'm kidding myself?

Just did a quick google search.. '360 with built in wifi'.. What comes up? The Slims, and only the slims. So please tell me what other 360s come with built-in wifi if I'm kidding myself.

ok, another question.
Is there any way to see if an xbox 360 slim can be hacked by looking at it's box or something(the slim is kinda better for me if it can be hacked)?

You probably meant that the Slim is the only 360 with a built in Wifi chip.

Phat 360's can connect to XBlive with a WiFi adapter just as good as a Slim.

It can be hacked but it depends on what drive you got.
Hitachi drives aren't hackable and ALL Slim 360's with Liteon drives REQUIRE either a Sputnik 360 or a Kamikaze hack (word says enough)

Sputnik 360 is a Quick Solder Board that's used for unlocking the flashchip.
Kamikaze hack is essentially drilling into the Winbond or Mediatek (don't know which one anymore) and sending a unlock signal.
IT IS VERY EASY TO KILL YOUR DRIVE WITH THE KAMIKAZE HACK

You can buy a replacement PCB for the Slim drive iirc.

I've seen Slims do an RRoD.
Remember the launching of the Slims?

Disc scratching returned.

RRoDing was fixed partially with the Falcons and entirely with the Jaspers and Kronos consoles.

As for Disc scratching.
You SHOULD NOT ever touch the console when it's in use.
You can even make a Wii scratch discs if you shake it hard enough when in use.

that was actually powerbrick failure
the system has safe guards put in to prevent any type of rrod, it will shut its self off if its gets too hot and will display a red dot while it cools down to normal levels again
unlike the phats which only had a sensor on the cpu chip

Hmm my mistake then.

I still stand by my point on the scratched discs.

Just don't touch the console when you're playing a game.
It's apparently really hard for some people to understand such a simple thing.

Gonna drag it a little off topic here, but where does the phats only have sensors on the cpu info come from?, I've read it in multiple places, yet homebrew programs/dash display a GPU temp reading and the config block in the nand has temperature thresholds for it, if it lacks a sensor where do the homebrew programs get the temp data from and why did Microsoft put a gpu threashold in the config block, if there is apparently no sensor?

I'm well aware what I meant dinoh, I'm talking about why that person is telling me I'm kidding myself. I'm not stupid.

I was helping you by saying that you meant Wifi chip instead of Wifi itself.

I can crack open my 360 and place the USB Wifi inside the case.
Hey presto, built in Wifi.

Not attached to the Mobo but it is "built in"
